So I have to go back and verify, but I *think* you should be able to grenade the hotel door instead of paying the doubloons. Jolly gets pissed at you but that's it. I'm also excited to see y'all play this level!
Fun fact about Jolly's for you: you don't have to pay for the room at all. You can actually just blow up the door with a grenade egg and he'll chew you out with something along the lines of "Well really, that was a brand new door and everything. Do you have any idea how much they cost these days?" Can't wait to see your adventures deeper into the lagoon. Obviously there's still plenty to do around town, and you have what you need to do most of it. Aside from Tiptup. Dunno what his deal is, you'd think a turtle 32 weeks late would have an adamantium shell or something and be able to take a grenade egg like a champ.
There are some spots around the town that you might have mistook for just decor, but you can interact with them. Also, take a closer look at the front of the statue in the middle. This is probably my favorite water world in all of gaming, probably because it takes away what's so frustrating about most other water levels. That and the music underwater is REALLY good- Grant Kirkhope himself has said it's his favorite song in this game, so give it a listen when you start swimming. Also, an interesting bit of continuity is that at the end of Banjo-Kazooie, Captain Blubber was riding a waveracer in the ending cutscene.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but while its true you couldn't poop through the window, you still could have pooped on the gunpowder barrel. That is one thing I love about this game a lot of puzzles have multiple correct solutions.
Aye sailor ye mateys AHOY! I love Jolly Roger's Lagoon, one of my favorite water worlds in gaming. There's something truly unique about exploring the seafloor...
Admittedly that Jinjo is a much better "teach", but I brought up water running in Glitter Gulch Mine because just running down the river makes that switch race a lot simpler than trying to go along the shores. Fun fact, you don't actually need to pay for the room in Jolly's inn. You can just blow the door open with a grenade egg. This might be obvious, but only the water in Jolly Roger's Lagoon is oxygenated. Other worlds (even if you enter them from the Lagoon) still have the air gauge.
I love how streaming is so ingrained for both Jon and Lucah that they keep calling the comments section "chat". I find it endearing. For some reason, the music here reminds me of Grunty's Lair from the first game. Pour one out for Shrek and her gross/cool facts about Grunty. Man, Rare really pushed the envelope with this game. And I thought the first game was bad about innuendo. I question the science of that water oxygenation thing, but if it lets Lucah be comfortable in the water, I'm here for it. I bet you in the last level Mumbo will finally get his respect. Tiptup looks different in every game he's in! Also, pour one out for Pipsy and Bumper who never even got to cameo in other Rare games and are forever doomed to just be part of Diddy Kong Racing.
Fun fact: You can be even ruder to Jolly and just blow the bedroom door off its hinges with a grenade egg. Jolly yells at you a bit, but you suffer no real consequence and save two doubloons.
Poor Jon, trying to teach Lucah about interesting trivia and gaming history concerning Captain Blackeye while Lucah was screwing around, hahahahah Jolly Roger Lagoon is an interesting level. The theme that plays in town is my favorite song in the game. Hearing the song in a previous Let's Play was a big reason why I actually went and bought my own copy of the game years ago. Also, yeah, Jolly's is quite the interesting place :P
Fun Fact: zombie Jing-A-Ling's seemingly random diologe about "Other king's" is more importent then you may think. Remember when he talked about Ol' King Coal?

Hints and tips 15 you do not have to pay for the room for jam jars, if you want you can blow up the door and not bay the 2 coins HOWEVER by the end of the game with 100 % you will have 2 coins leftover as you dont ever pay for the room The jukebox can be fixed however it is based around something later on, pretty much a 100 % (but not actually 100%) reward. It also doesn't have an underwater track that you can hear in the game for a world you have yet to open and cant easily go underwater lastly there is a few things that can be destoryed on the main land of Jolly Rogers Lagoon, look for cracks on walls and what i can only describe as Worts on the floor
16:58 I don’t know if I remember this correctly but I think you could blow the door up as an alternative, Either that or I’m thinking of something else
The RareWitchProject was such a fun forum back in the day, spent many hours there discussing the various Stop N Swop theories. Also I hope y’all can find that train switch in witchyworld - you were so close, virtually staring right at it but then gave up!
Light Spoilers about the Jukebox: You can activate Jolly's Jukebox when you get all the Cheato pages. Also, it's worth to note to go back to Zombie Jingaling's castle, since the area's the only piece of music you can possibly miss if you go through the rest of the game. Enjoy Jolly's dance moves with this too!
Because of my irrational fear of video game water as a kid - borne from Banjo-Kazooie's Snacker - I barely played in this stage. I only got the land Jiggies, one move that was necessary to move on in the game, and abandoned this place. Now that I'm 30, I MAY consider playing through this stage in full. Doesn't mean I won't be insanely uneasy swimming about underwater, though!
I knew the moment they entered this level that Lucah would get choked up on the jukebox. I just knew it. Also fun fact : You could've just blown the room door open with a grenade egg and avoid paying those 2 doubloons for the room where Jamjars was. Jolly would've complained about it.
33:22 actually i think it can be pull off but you needed to take advantage of the bouncing aspect of the eggs and make sure the arc trajectory doesn't hit the frame of the window.
If you talk to Jamjars a few times on pretty much any of his move locations, he'll occasionally have a slightly different animation that I think you'll appreciate. Also I think the Jukebox is one of the illegal cheats, funny enough.
Hey Lucah. Quick question for future comments. On this series, are you the one checking the comments or is Jon checking the comments and letting you know about the non-spoiler ones? Would like to have my comments made in a way that it doesn’t cause problems for you :)
Ah, by the by, when you got the Jinjo at the far end of the lagoon, there were a couple of wishes just under the waves below his cliff. Lets see... Mumbo's oxygen magic ONLY WORKS IN THIS LEVEL. Other levels still use the air meter, though perhaps only the flooded caverns in the mines are anywhere close to big enough to be concerning, and you already dealt with that area. Its possible I said something like this before, but... Ice and Echoes bring much ruin to anyone who loves whippin.
I think I explored a lot of stuff on the surface because the deep water freaked me out. I didn't read what Mumbo's magic did so I thought I was gonna drown or get eaten by a giant fish because of what I've been reading between Jolly and Blubber. There are some things that hasn't been found in this episode yet but this world might have the "best" transformation which I'll keep quiet on.
If you don't recognize him, the hippo pirate, Blubbers, was in the first game in Treasure Trove Cove, on the pirate ship. Not sure if you remember him. There was another character in WitchyWorld who says his name, Gobi, and he was also in the first game but he looks different in this one. Jon didn't point either of these characters out :(

Honestly, @@Anko3342, I half think Banjo and Kazooie are an asexual couple, on large part due to lack of requisite biology.
@@MrOmegatronic Kazooie is banjo's snrky lesbian friend, absolutely
@@MrOmegatronic Ooooh, that's definitely an interesting one! I love seeing so many different head canons for one of my all time favorite Series! :D
Do you have any idea how much they cost these days?"
Can't wait to see your adventures deeper into the lagoon. Obviously there's still plenty to do around town, and you have what you need to do most of it. Aside from Tiptup. Dunno what his deal is, you'd think a turtle 32 weeks late would have an adamantium shell or something and be able to take a grenade egg like a champ.
Honestly, I'd think a 32-week-late turtle is just too lazy to leave the bedroom.
18:13 I was looking forward to lucah's reaction to the munu, and she did not disappoint
this episode is making me rethink my 55 episode guess at the start of the series....lol
Lucah serving Blackeye a cold one
She explores with pinpoint tunnel vision XD. She still did not notice the mounds all over the ground that she can break.
I love the town in this stage. It makes the world feel lived in.
I gotta say these are the highlight of my day whenever a new episode gets uploaded.
To get the Jukebox to work again there's a Code you type in at the first level
Fun fact: You can be even ruder to Jolly and just blow the bedroom door off its hinges with a grenade egg. Jolly yells at you a bit, but you suffer no real consequence and save two doubloons.
Poor Jon, trying to teach Lucah about interesting trivia and gaming history concerning Captain Blackeye while Lucah was screwing around, hahahahah
Jolly Roger Lagoon is an interesting level. The theme that plays in town is my favorite song in the game. Hearing the song in a previous Let's Play was a big reason why I actually went and bought my own copy of the game years ago. Also, yeah, Jolly's is quite the interesting place :P
4:43 Mister yes arms
Fun Fact: zombie Jing-A-Ling's seemingly random diologe about "Other king's" is more importent then you may think. Remember when he talked about Ol' King Coal?
I knew it. this bar is gonna be great with luca playing.
Fun fact: this is Balckeye's SECOND cameo, as the first game had him show up on a paintain in the haunted house level
Did you notice the dark patches of dirt outside? They conceal secrets. The statue in the centre of town can also be blown up.
I've been waiting so long for this level!
May have binged all the previous episode after finishing the SA2B VS series. And I've dyed of laughing so many times and honestly never seen this game all the way though and I am loving this playthrough
Fun fact: You can shoot a grenade egg at the door to Jamjars and destroy it so you don't have to pay Jolly; he even complains to you when you do it
Knowing Rare, he's definitely called Pawno for a less obvious reason
Jolly also appears in Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts.
I love watching you guys play games.
how could you look that this Jolly guy and not want the ol' toad in the hole?
11:09 I really applaud jon for saying that with a straight face lol
The sheer determination Lucah demonstrates trying to poop on everything is inspiring.
Jon acting all cool, like he knew about the running shoes' new ability in Banjo Tooie the whole time. Meanwhile, back when he first used them in Glitter Gulch Mine, he avoided the water like it was lava. Smooth moves, Jon. 😏
I know right?!
Even at 10 years old, I knew about the whole “Running super fast makes you run on water.”.
I wonder how many people fell for Jon’s lies.
That's right. You know! Jon's truly the ultimate intrigue villain. He's got us all fooled, we're all flies in his wicked web of dastardly schemes of terrible, cosmic proportions. Soon he will unleash his machine gun-toting armies of alternate selves with mostly disproportionately large mammaries upon us all. We're all doomed!
The stonework on the ground and the center of Jolly Roger's village square seems a little shoddy... maybe it could use some demolition work?

Hints and tips 15
you do not have to pay for the room for jam jars, if you want you can blow up the door and not bay the 2 coins HOWEVER by the end of the game with 100 % you will have 2 coins leftover as you dont ever pay for the room
The jukebox can be fixed however it is based around something later on, pretty much a 100 % (but not actually 100%) reward. It also doesn't have an underwater track that you can hear in the game for a world you have yet to open and cant easily go underwater
lastly there is a few things that can be destoryed on the main land of Jolly Rogers Lagoon, look for cracks on walls and what i can only describe as Worts on the floor
Don't mind me, just gonna' isolate that "Sir, can I step on you" line for, uh...remix purposes.
As someone who had a fear of decompression sickness I say, go Lucahjin!!! Face your fear!!
16:58 I don’t know if I remember this correctly but I think you could blow the door up as an alternative,
Either that or I’m thinking of something else
Yeah, you can use a grenade egg to blow up the door and enter the room without paying, getting scolded by Jolly in the process.
For those that are unaware. In this case, gay means happy
Jolly Frog looks at camera*
The RareWitchProject was such a fun forum back in the day, spent many hours there discussing the various Stop N Swop theories.
Also I hope y’all can find that train switch in witchyworld - you were so close, virtually staring right at it but then gave up!
Light Spoilers about the Jukebox:
You can activate Jolly's Jukebox when you get all the Cheato pages. Also, it's worth to note to go back to Zombie Jingaling's castle, since the area's the only piece of music you can possibly miss if you go through the rest of the game. Enjoy Jolly's dance moves with this too!
Fun fact: The gestation period for most turtles is 45-75 days. Tiptup’s baby’s late period has been longer than its expected period.
Ah, the old Cry & Poo. Heartbreaking, yet strangely liberating.
04:20 Well, at least he can properly hold an N64-controller now.
33:22 actually i think it can be pull off but you needed to take advantage of the bouncing aspect of the eggs and make sure the arc trajectory doesn't hit the frame of the window.
that music at the start gave me some "we are number one" flashbacks
How long until Lucah finds what she's missing in plain sight? Tune in next time on Dragon Ball Z... Eh... I mean... This channel.
I like the voice Jon gave to Jolly.
Gurl I want the Seaman surprise though lol.
"Are we gonna have a gay old time?" Oh you had no idea
I remember being obsessed with trying to solve Stop N Swop back in the 7th grade lol.
Im learning so much this playthrough. I've never ever seen Jolly's backside before. And boy is it tight!
I'm kind of sad Lucah didn't talk to the other two shopkeepers as Mumbo. I wanted to see more of everyone hating him.
Ice and Echoes bring much ruin
to anyone who loves whippin.
3:44 Lucah, do dinosaurs have four arms? 😆
I'm happy for lucah and jolly roger lagon. since there' omething special with the water here via mumbo
If you don't recognize him, the hippo pirate, Blubbers, was in the first game in Treasure Trove Cove, on the pirate ship. Not sure if you remember him. There was another character in WitchyWorld who says his name, Gobi, and he was also in the first game but he looks different in this one. Jon didn't point either of these characters out :(
well he did point out Blubber actually
