I wish Pamela would reconsider this series, it really humanizes her & actually shows her in such a sympathetic light, really amazing acting from Lily James too

I wish that as well. Thing is, I totally understand where she's coming from, no one wants to relive one of the most difficult times of their life and re-experience a violation of their privacy and person, even if the product is made with good intentions.
For us spectators though, her character is admirable and relatable on the show. I think every woman has had at least one moment where she felt violated in a similar way. In a world where your profile picture can be used by stalkers to "facilitate" their infatuation with you, only for them to call you a slut later on for not settling for any of them, we all feel like we suffer a similar injury to what Pam had to endure.
Pam is every woman, that's just the reality of it. And for people who disagree, I hope they rethink that.
Lily James really is making her so complex, vulnerable and relatable. I have seen so many shows that say "don't sexualize women, it's dehumanizing," but I've never seen something say that sexuality shouldn't dehumanize a person in the first place. Pamela Anderson was so wronged... I know this show isn't a documentary but what happened to her was horrible

Well, it's because demonizing sex and sexuality while simultaneously slut shaming women for being sexual creatures is one of the prime examples of misogynistic hypocrisy.
They always do this crap, like wanting you to be a virgin yet be a "slut in the sheets". None of this crap makes any god damn sense ever!
Even though Pamela didn't consent to this series being made I think Lily did a good job of representing Pam not just as a bubbly blonde but a complex character with a lot of love to give.
Incredible performance. She deserves an Oscar if this was a movie.

i finished the series yesterday and it made me so so sad! they seemed to be perfect for each other and I really believe this tape destroyed their relationship!
I love how lily does her job as Pam. Everyone sees Pam as a dumb sexy blonde all because of gender inequality, and this TV series shows us how she really feels about it, she's a person, she was just a woman who wanted to live her life and she suffered in shit of sexist society

She’s not a good actress at all . Her portrayal of Pamela was meek . Pamela is not a meek person . The series was very B grade if not Z . Empty nothing scenes . A lot of mis information and made up scenes . I’m looking forward to Pamelas real life story on Netflix she’s recently signed for .
