Shahruk came into fame after I left India & I started to watch Hindi movies again much later - by then he was famous. Saw a few films of his & liked him but couldn't understand why people were so crazy about him, until I saw "My name is Khan" - Loved his role in that film. Now that I know he's educated & he speaks very well, plus he doesn't come across as argent, in spite of his fame, which is very good to see. Humility is what I look for in famous people. He's proud of where he is today, that's obvious, but he displays class & great to know his father was a simple but courageous freedom fighter - That means he's from good stock - With my generation of India - THAT holds weight, although who the individual is is faar more important than where he / she is from. First time watching the Anupam Kher show. I know him from Bride & Prejudice & a few other films. Not a fan, but he's a pleasant fellow. I saw a film yesterday where he was a villian - didn't like it at alllll. Half way through it I'd had enough - BORING!!!!!! Good to see he's now hosting his own show & is good at it.
