Came across this summer video only today. I love your summer preparation. I have been in Japan the past two summers back and forth ( I travel for living so I am in your country a lot) and it has been recorded as the hottest summers ever: sprinkles of cool water mist were coming out of rooftops near stores and water poured in the streets just to cool down....but I so love your country so much! and why is it that I absolutely love everything you do and how you do it!!! Pure class all the way! xoxox
I have kids too but experienced 5 years without children. Both scenarios has their own set of joy and excitement. I look at the scattered mess they make and I know they are creating wonderful memories to look back on someday.
Summer days in Japan are my happiest memories. It’s hot and steamy sometimes and I have to buy tons of insect repellent and muhi but I love it. Lotus flowers in Ueno Park are in full bloom and so are other flowers like ajisai. I can watch fireworks and eat kakigoori, warabimochi and zarusoba every day. The sound of furin is soothing my soul. I can listen to the song of cicadas and go outside in the evening while it’s still pleasantly warm and enjoy a cold shower when I come home. Have a beautiful summer!!!!
