do you use the negative amount that usually is displayed in the EC resource bar for the 'discharge' value? Or is discharge value calculated by taking the Negative change amount to EC, then subtracting total production to get the final discharge rate?
the game treats consumption as a positive value and production as a negative value. if the value is negative, it is displayed in the "charge" window; if positive, then in the "discharge" window
