These two are just so incredibly in sync with each other. They prove it over and over as they race each other to the nest, both knowingly meeting up for their evening nest-keeping date. It almost seems as though they keep somewhat of a routine. They wait for each other, they watch each other leave and follow, they even go shopping for furniture and nesting materials at the same times sometimes. Their communication is limited but yet they know each other so well. It's so fascinating to me!
Jackie landed a hair of a second before Shadow's feet touch the nest, both coming in from opposite sides. Jackie first seen in the distance and then flew in the front door and Shadow from the back. 🏁🪹🦅🚦🦅🌲
While nest-keeping together, Shadow snuck in a few gentle beakies to Jackie's head as she was digging.🥰 Watch how she reacts to Shadow going behind her shortly after and accidentally bumps into her tail feathers. It looked as though she was ready for Shadow's beaky shenanigans to start up but she gave those warning looks and Shadow maintained his innocence by not pulling any funny business.🤨😇
Jackie gives us a close-up on her way out and Shadow follows her to roost together for the night. 🌙🌲🦅❤️🦅
I just love them to pieces!
Note: The FOBBV cameras utilize an infrared night vision feature that allows us to see in the dark through our screen but humans and animals cannot see any light emitted whatsoever with the naked eye.
