I know a first round loss isn’t what you were looking for, but at least you’re out there doing it. I would be so happy to have something that I feel even had a shot at competing with the level of the cars out there and being there. Although, I would want a win as well. Way before the Fox body potato chip was even a tingle in Henry Ford's pants, there was the Vega! Half the weight of a Pringle, and any kind of decent power made them Violent! Set up right, not much can run with them. Hats off to them on the win...

I respect the attitude and the no excuse mentality. We all miss it sometimes and it takes a lot of passes for anyone to make it to the front every time. You guys will get there , it makes it a lot harder that so many great racers have jumped into small tire 28’s street stuff these days. No ducks to get a good data pass first round anymore.

I love it when they split the bumpers on a vega. The fact that 70-73 split bumper 2nd gen are my all-time favorite muscle cars, may affect that. They have been some pretty nasty street cars around here since I was a kid.

Chief you're still the man as far as I am concerned when it comes to tuning a car for the streets. From what I seen the left lane was junk. I didn't see any wins in the left lane other than a bye run.

It clearly looked like the right was the better lane. Every car that went down on the left had to pedal the car at least once and lost. The brick made a decent hit in the left, but that was on his bye. It just sucks when it ends up being a 1 lane road. But I agree that even going out 1st round, you're still racing, so it's hard to be mad in the end.
