just to add a little extra tip on 808 notes, i find that if you are a bit ear trained then put your 808 on the most prominent note in the chord, which isnt always the root note, and if its a big gap from the previous note just slide to or from the root note based on whichever sounds better, makes it sound great and may inspire new ideas from the slide 😀

realy great video, I've been making beats for a lil over a year and I learned something...but i think you should meantion that lot of 808s already have kicks in them and you can tell by the start of a wave form

how do you get your fl studio channel rack like dillion's? he is it so that if you for example have a kick and a clap loaded in, and you don't use the piano roll but use the channel rack click, if you load up claps for 1 beat and kicks for 2 beats, the clap just repeats instead of you having to copy you first beat to the second.

Do you gain stage in the channel rack before you send em to the mixer?
My Alt+K command was working initially in order to move the kick to C, but now it does not work as a command anymore and instead when I press Alt+K the piano roll changes from the kick pattern to the 808 pattern. Is there an easy fix for this?

When you export your beat it is exporting whatever sound is currently coming out of FL Studio. So no need to change you kick out of mono into stereo when exporting.

ive made good drum patterns with even some drums that sound good on other beats, but just didnt sound good on a certain beat, try using different drum kit or one shots on the patterns you make if it sounds off with your beat
