Great video clip. My dad was an m/u Lancaster gunner. Flying with 101 Squadron. 32 completed missions March - September 1944. He along with my 2 Uncles were WW2 veterans. All are long passed. I’m a retired veteran myself, now in my 70s. Thanks for the video.
WOW! EMILY, such a unique and rare privilege to ride in one of these aircraft. Amazing memories. I often see it fly over my place in the summer. Thanks for sharing these moments. Lest we Forget!
Hope to see museum in a couple months - Avro Lancaster of Canadian Warplane Heritage museum is amazing, has flown for a long time as the only example flying until the last few years. Now there is example flying in Britain and the RCAF Lanc flew over for anniversary of D-Day
Thank you veterans for your bravery and fight for all of us,we love you all and your sacrifice to make canada what it is today, keep canada, the true north, strong and free, this is our home, let's keep it like that 🎉❤❤we honor the falling, and thank you, forever ❤❤
Apparently, there’s only two in the world. The UK has one and Hamilton has one. I just looked it up. I hope I’m wrong. I’d like to see more of them around. Got to preserve history.
@1dilligaf There is 2 Lancasters in the UK. They where flying in formation a couple of months ago. Can't remember the actual time frame. Some kind of celebration of sorts.
@@chriscutrara6313 One was RCAF Lanc from Hamilton - it flew over for 80 year anniversary. Canada Lancaster and one example in Britain only examples flying still.
@ukrainiipyat Yes! There is one in Hamilton Ontario, the other in Nanton Alberta. I live in Calgary Alberta, and Nanton is bout an hour's drive South of Calgary.
I have seen this beautiful aircraft numerous times flying. Thank You to all who served to give us the freedoms we had in my times. Unfortunately this new era of woke government is diminishing those freedoms.
As a Canadian, if you visit another country, you do not have your Canadian 'rights' in that other country. Try it in Russia or Singapore and you will find that you have no "rights."

Would've rathered instead of spending on fuel, ads, and events or whatever, maybe give the money directly to vets or just to make life better for Canadians. People are starving, it's getting colder. Everything goes up monthly it seems.

Those engines are One of the sounds that won our freedom
Those sounds only existed because of the men who serviced the engines and kept them flying. Remember the people first.

Thank you and your family for your service . Thank you for making Canada even greater. All the best to you.
@@lawrencefriesen1872Very kind of you. Thanks.
Had a 60 minute ride on that Lanc a few years back. Only cost me $2500 bucks. Worth every penny.
$4300 now.
The Lancaster often limped back on three rolls royce engines instead of four. A very sturdy plane which the crew loved. My Dad was one.

So great. Excellent ceremony on CHCH today from Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum
This was great. Finally something worth talking about on the news. Beautiful aircraft and a nice tribute to the aircrews and all WW2 veterans.
Just one of these you can hear coming from a mile away. Imagine being in Europe during the war and hearing hundreds of these approaching in the sky!
my grandfather fiew these planes during ww2 for the raf

God bless our service men and women and our vets. ❤
They are both beautiful but that b25 is just a beaut.
Absolutely love that plane.
First time I saw it fly overhead, I thought the war was back on !
❤️
We missed the C130 today in Toronto. Was replaced by an RCAF Lear Jet type of thing. It was confusing.

Nice to see even though I'm in Winnipeg. I should have got a job as a reporter so I could get a ride. Good on all of you anyway.
