About us:
Our church began in Sydney in 2001 after a group of saved Bible believing baptists came together with a common desire to have a church which truly believed and taught the King James 1611 Bible is the word of God. This is because they grew weary of being in churches which just used the KJV and claimed they believed it only to have the pastors and teachers claim later it had errors and contradictions.
The group then sought out a pastor and meeting place. In a short time God provided both! The group contacted and visited Pastor John Wheat in Queanbeyan NSW who believed the Bible and had started a Bible believing Baptist church there. After this group of believers shared their heart and vision, God called Pastor John Wheat to Sydney to help establish the church there. Pastor Wheat turned the church in Queanbeyan over to a young man he had trained in the ministry and moved to Sydney where Open Bible Baptist Church was formed. God called Pastor Wheat home to heaven after pastoring the church for 10 years.
Pastor Jason Young was saved at the age of 15 and called to preach at 17. He surrendered to go to Bible school shortly afterwards and attended and graduated from Pensacola Bible Institute. Upon graduating God dealt with his heart about going to the mission field. In 2006 he came to Australia to visit and help out on the mission field. While he was there God confirmed in his heart the call to Australia. After ministering in Australia for 8 years God called him to be our Pastor in 2014.

The wisdom of this man is astounding! Most doctors are book smart and completely lack the Spirit of God. "Higher criticism" kills their faith. But this man is God's treasure. May his wisdom continue to shine forever!

He was trained by Peter S. Ruckman. One of the most brilliant men in this century on the Bible. A lot of what Gene teaches he learned from Ruckman, and he continues to search the Scriptures and dig into these topics deeper.

I have lost family , friends and not to mention the laughing stock at my job for my beliefs but I believe The Bible is the WHOLE truth ! Let every man be a liar but Yah be True! I AM SO GLAD TO SEE THAT THERE ARE SO MANY COMMENTS ABOUT OUR EARTH INDEED BEING FLAT ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE. My heart was singing while I was reading bc I feel like a loner out here sometimes. I literally have no friends or relatives that believe scripture. So sad. My ex husband and kids do, so that's the only 3 people in this world that I can discuss this with. So sad. I need a flat earth buddy. Lol

Ancient Hebrew writers used metaphor, the places in scripture that seem to describe a flat earth, are using metaphor
Even in our day we use one thing to describe another thing, but the thing we are describing is not that thing
And we say things like “its raining cats and dogs” people in third world countries have no idea what that means, and would take it literally, and be confused
We are doing the same thing with scripture, which is why you also find verses that speak to a globe shape
And Christ is our example, he taught using parables, these parables were not real events, they were his stories, in metaphor form, to teach the truth he wanted us to learn
God, uses one thing, to teach the truth of another thing, all throughout scripture, and when we take these things literally, we get confused, and think things that are not true

The firmament must be the most complicated of all that God created, it wasn't completed until the first part of day three...."and God saw and it was good" speak to the completion.

Pastor Dr Kim is the only Pastor I know who teaches the KJV bible as deep as he does. He is such a treasure to God. I found Pastor Kim about 7 years ago and my life has never been the same. He teaches what our schools should be teaching. I think the passage, "7He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing." gets interpreted wrong. I think God is saying that earth is not suspended out in the empty place because He goes on to say the earth has pillars and is fixed and non movable.
More than AWESOME is this study.

This has blessed me beyond words. Amazing bible study, thank you. I’ve pondered the significance of Jesus’ garment, there is quite an emphasis on it in scripture. It’s also mentioned that it was knit with one thread from beginning to end with no imperfections or seams. Jesus is the alpha and omega, beginning and the end, that I AM, in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God then the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.
