２０分あたりでこれは何だろうと話していましたが、私の推測ですが多分稲わらで編んでわらむしろ（下に敷いてあるもの）を
編んで作る道具だと思います。

実は正解を島の方に伺いました。
みかんを収穫するカゴ（中島ではテボと呼んでいます）をわらで編む道具だそうです。
おそらくムシロも編んでいたと思われます！

調べてみるとJUKIは戦後、ミシンの開発に力を入れて、ブラザー、ジャノメに並ぶ3大ミシンメーカーになったそうです！知らなかったです。
現在は、工業用ミシン世界シェアNo. 1だそうです！
