Johnson-Evinrude 90 HP J90ELEUA

Clark tests a CDI Digital Optical Power Pack (CDI Electronics PN 113-6292) on this 1997 90 HP Johnson-Evinrude 4 cylinder. This motor was in storage for two years, so Clark had to tweak the carburetors a little.

6 from what i have read, but mine are set to 7...

Thank you for your response I got carbs rebuilt and now getting a bad sneeze and rough idle was told to richen it up by the mixing screws so I was going to gently seat them and start fresh because I don’t know how many turns out they are currently at

@@gregstillwell your welcome, if that doesnt help you may have a reed valve that isnt closing properly, in fact thats what i would be checking next, good luck

i just bought a zodiac whit this engine,is a 1999 model but i think is the same,whit optical ignition ,i have a question,is a good engine? but most important...how about fuel consumption?because in italy the fuel cost 3 times more than usa..... :-) thank you in advance,and i hope you understand y bad english...

i have a evinrude E200FP and it runs greate but the engine wont start the normal way, i need to poor a bit of fuel in to a cilinder to make it start , but last time was perfect, don know what to check, i have a video EVINRUDE ENGINE WONT START PROPERLY please take alook.

There is a red tab pointing downwards( it is in the front of the engine, between the carbs, it can be seen in this video), that is the fuel enrichment which should turn on when you push the key. Try turning the red tab counter clockwise until it points up, this will fill your carbs with fuel. then turn it back down after 5-10 seconds and try to start. Check that the cables are connected or check your ignition switch might not be chocking. - just realized your comment is 10 years ago :(
