Anybody else ready for opening day? Timberwolves are a great story this year and I love that, but nothing like opening day at Target Field . Go Twins !
Timberwolves are first in the NBA, Minnesota PWHL team is first in their league, let’s round it out with the Twins this year and make it a trifecta! Let’s just not talk about the Wild or that other purple team.
Optimistic about the season but twins definitely worse . If royce, correa, Buxton can all stay mostly healthy while having Ryan & Ober make jumps . Gonna also need the young guys like wallner, AK, Eddie all have similar seasons to last year . Also if we can get contributions from a few prospects twins have a chance to be elite but expecting all those things to happen is a stretch. Subbing in Santana for Gallo should be big . Reason I think we're worse is the rotation & think it's likely Buxton & AK spend most the year injured
How are they definately worse? The only guy they didn't replace was Sonny Gray and they were only 14-18 in his starts. Plus they had subpar years from Correa and Buxton. If Royce and Alex are healthy this team will run away with the division.
HUGE step(s) down going from 2023 Sonny Gray to what looks like a DFA-class starter in DiScal... whoever, I'm not even going to learn his name until his arm can at least throw in the bullpen. 2024's Joey Gallo. An indefensible signing as anything other than a flier. He'll finish his Twins career with around 100 total innings (the last few in the bullpen) and an ERA over 7. Unless he is currently injured (which appears to be the case) , in which case the numbers go to
U can’t depend on Buxton at all. History will repeat itself, also a second starter like Snell would be absolutely huge. U can’t trade Brooks Lee. Having three stellar shortstops playing 3rd SS and 2nd is a massive plus. Julien has to be in the lineup w that bat. DH and share second w Lee. Seems like Kirolov is the odd man out unless he moves back to outfield and they trade Kepler for pitching. If I’m not mistaken they have a stud CF prospect that is ready, and who knows on Jenkins he was tearing it up in Rookie ball idk he might be one of those guys u can’t keep down. I also think Paddock will reach double digit wins given the chance to start.
...the Twins lost the guy who came in second in Cy voting last year and Maeda. Now, schadenfraude and/or a sigh of relief over Sonny's physical problems aside, the Twins won 87 games last year WITH those guys. The good news--there's a zillion interesting young players who might do something. Could be worse...
@@TalkinTwins hope you’re right, desclafani isn’t a serious starter on a playoff team. Even as 5th man. We need a #2 cuz I don’t trust Joe Ryan as a top top guy. Hope I’m wrong
I’m very optimistic about this ball club.
You raise some excellent points. Nice work
Minnesota twuis😮😊😅🎉❤
Twins are definitely the favorite in the AL Central

I would say you’ve been drinking a little to much twins coolaid but still a good preview I still think the starting staff needs an arm
JORDAN MONTGOMERY
Trevor Bauer is a vet min
Yeah, 91 wins? Poised to make a deep run in the playoffs? I'll believe it when I see it. It took us 20 some years to even win a playoff game.
@@Weapon12 go find a new team then u fucking crybaby😭
Excited to see Wallner this year. One of my favorite hitters to watch.
Agreed!
Very cool
if buxton could stay healthy ever season hes a HOF caliber player
I haven’t been this optimistic since 2009
You sold me more on Carlos Santana. I disagree though that Buxton is one of the best hitters when healthy.

All about the pitching this year .

You’re right on the money. GO TWINS!!
The offense should be better, but I worry about our rotation...
Without Sonny Gray, the rotation appears weaker - but the Twins' rotation is ranked 5th in MLB.

Very good video! I'm not as high on Santana, I think Kiriloff is a better option.
Having a legit every day playing, power hitting, gold gloving first baseman again is going to be great. It’s been a while.
It's a balanced schedule this year. 24 fewer games vs Sox, Royals, Tigers, and Guardians. I see fewer wins.
It's the same schedule as last year.
I think they'll win more games than last year. They didn't have most of their best players half of last season
And let's not overlook that Joey Gallo won't be playing 111 games for them this year.
If Buxton can play 100 games this year then watch out. This may be one of the best teams in the MLB
Great video!!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it

Agreed
offense, defense and bullpen will dominate the league, but the rotation scare me a bit

Didn’t know we had the worst defense at 1B last year

Brooks Lee is such an obvious trade chip for starting pitching.
Should’ve paid Sonny gray and I would’ve had real hope
They're not done yet. It won't be a surprise if they trade for another starter.

Hamstring.
Wait we got Santana? What happened to miggy
The twins got way worse, I think the royals might win the division.
How did they get way worse like if anything they didn’t get any better there’s no possible way they got worse though
A .230 career hitter starting in right field being great? Put down the pipe.
Worst can't stay healthy
Slamtana.
