They say mma fighters know more disciplines then boxing and boxing is one dimensional. Well football players run, jump, cut, you can say they have more skills and disciplines then a track runner. But if you put the fastest football player to run a 100 meter sprint against usain bolt, the football player will still lose 10/10 times. Think about it

Kid Dynamite Dana actually has a good point when he says that Conor's inexperience as a boxer might actually help him. Almost all boxers have an extremely similar foundation. Meaning they learn how to punch and move and block like a boxer. After that, it simply comes down to who can move the fastest and make the right decisions. For a long time, Mayweather has been that guy. No other BOXER has the speed nor smarts of Floyd. So, naturally, Conor would have no chance to win if he trained as a boxer. He's not a boxer. He's a warrior. He will come out and do things that Floyd has never seen before in the boxing ring. He will take chances and punch from very unorthodox position and angles. That being said, this only increases his chances slightly, but anything is better than zero percent.

Sure, Mcgregor can move differently but his instinct to incorporate MMA is not going to work. Grappling of any kind is just clinching in boxing. It looks weak. If he throws a jab outside of the upper body or accidentally throws a kick, Floyd's gonna win by technicality. So Connor has to train twice as hard. Once to get rid of his MMA instincts. The second is to focus on the fundamentals of boxing.
