- Tyler Chiarelli is one of the finest young guitarists in Nashville today. In our Truetone Lounge interview, Tyler shares how he assimilated the chops, attitude, and gear know-how to make it in Music City. From his beginnings as a drummer to the decision to move to Nashville, to touring with major acts, to his current position as one of the up and coming session cats, Tyler shares all with humility and class. For all of the gear heads, Chiarelli brought some amazing pieces, so we also spend time discussing his 1959 ES-335, 1959 Fender Deluxe, Senn Pomona, Custom Shop Les Paul, Ebo Verb, and his XTS built pedalboard.
Awesome interview; I appreciate Tyler's insight and general humility. Fantastically musical player too.
Thank you, Will
Thank you so much for these! It makes me want to move to Nashville.
Man that was awesome!!! That little bit at the end he played with the telecaster was out of this world!!!!
Agreed!
Hey Zac hope you and yours are safe after today’s tornado blew through Nashville!
All the Truetone gang is safe. Thank you for asking. Zac
Great interview Zac.
Thanks!
Uncle Larrys illegitamate son. Great player.
Awesome interview. I think Dave Pahanish would make a awesome interview
ALL ROADS LEAD TO TOM BUKOVAC!!! :)
Many do!
TYLER - “Play the gear, don’t let the gear play you.” ME - “Absolutely, words to live by.” ALSO ME - “But first I need a 335 with a Bigsby!”
Another great interview, Tyler is a killer guitar player and seemingly a very humble super talented musician but... I have to say this and I'll bet Zac would agree (secretly). Florida Georgia Line is at the forefront of the groups that have ruined country music. "Nu" Country is nothing but pop bubblegum crap, there's no soul, no feel for the day to day struggles of average hard working people, it's all just party, party, party. Let's hope that someday we can get back to a more "Country" style of country!
Wow! I haven't seen Tyler since Wampler video showing his rig. He was really clean cut then but his humble, chill demeanor still there which is awesome!! Always love getting insight from different players! Great interview, thank you!! You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this time!!
Really enjoyed this one
I've known Tyler for many years. This dude is a true badass. A great drummer, a great bass player, and a incredible guitar player. He is a great dude! Proud of this guy. But he will always be man bear pig to me.
I'm new to this young man but seriously impressed with his chops, humility and approach to his craft. He'll be around for a long time. Thanks Zac and True Tone for another great interview!
You are welcome
Zac another great interview. And Tyler, I really respect your views on not just guitar playing but also being a musician. Building relationships being able to communicate with others, keeping ones ego in place, all words to the wise! Never crossed paths with you before this interview but I’m definitely going to check you out! Thanks guys!
Thank you
Dang it, Zac...how do you do it? You keep presenting quality content time and time again. For us musician/music geek types this is just fantastic! Where else can we see things like this?? I grew up with 3 tv channels and no internet, so these looks behind the scenes that are behind the other scenes..just GREAT! Thank you! Maybe someday I'll achieve the kind of success that gets me on your show! LOL. Please keep up the GREAT work!
Thanks for watching, Jake!
Great interview, thank you 👍
Hi Zac,
A new name for me but very interesting especially the union rules on playing live which is slightly different from here in the U.K.
Thanks as always ...
Graham
I
How are the rules different?
Gotta say. The dude has impeccable taste in guitars. :-)
Agreed!
#tylerchiarelli também sou um CHIARELLI do Brasil
Great episode. Who did he say Buk was playing with at 3rd and linsley all the time?
I know you hear this name a ton, but you’ve gotta get James Mitchell on here, man! What a feat it would be considering there’s no content out there like that on James. The unicorn of Nashville! And maybe the world.
I will see if I can track him down. Zac
Loved it!
Hey, if you guys haven't checked out Zac's own UA-cam channel, you really should because it's fantastic.
You are very kind, Stanley! Zac
So good! Tyler is a super talented, knowledgeable, and generous artist. Great interview Zac. You always get deep into the process of how great music is made and I love that, seeing and hearing how these great musicians think and approach their craft. Engrossing.
Thank you, Robert
Great interview as always, what are the chances of getting Tom Bukovac on here? By the way big fan of ask Zac as well. Thanks for the great content, keep it coming.
You are so welcome!
This is one of the best interviews I've seen re a player I've never heard of. Character is everything in any walk of life and Tyler shows that. Thank you again Zac for making me feel great about NOT getting that hour back (my wife was even starting to watch this one)! Steve.
Thank you, JC. And thanks to your wife!
@@TruetoneFX I hope you all are safe re the tornado last night.
Hi Zac. Any chance of getting some great bass players to be interviewed at true tone lounge? Thanks!
YES!!! Working on it
Truetone that will be great! Thanks.
Samantha Fish! (Hint hint) 😃
How is he powering that M9?
9v AC output on the Truetone CS12
Went to high school with Tyler... he was always a great guy and an awesome drummer. So happy to see him still playing and being successful
I just heard that Tyler played drums with PAW around 2008. I wonder what he thinks of the new work with Godzillionaire...Mark Hennessey of PAW and Ben White and Michael Dye and Cory. ??
