Hej BB -2.0 degrees in Australia at the moment and listening to ABBA complete discography on Spotify .I remember watching the advertisements on television here in Australia in 1976 and still have the National product booklet with ABBA together and individually throughout the booklet promoting the various electronic equipment, thankyou for this video it transports me back to 1976 and my teenage years which i remember with affection and joy with ABBA in my life as they are still to this moment, thankyou.
@@bobbysbrother137 THANKYOU BB you keep my memories and dreams alive with your beautiful channel and your dedication and commitment for ABBA and your relentless meticulous devotion to detail to bring all the news and in depth analysis along with hidden facts that only enhance my memories and expand them to heights unimaginable, thankyou for all your efforts and remarkable creative talents that spread the love and devotion for ABBA throughout the world.
Thank you Bobby's Brother, I DO LOVE outtakes and making-of's, so I love watching ABBA preparing themselves for some recordings. You asked what we are listening to, and tonight I've played Chiquitita, Lovers and Kisses Of Fire at home.
Such great memories with this video. In Australia the Best Of Abba special was viewed by more people than the moon landing. The National commercials were shown when ABBA’s popularity had exploded in Australia, there were a couple different versions I remember, they were everywhere in 1976/77. Thanks for the trip down memory lane BB..
Glad you could research my rare out take video I uploaded and could inform fans with more information. I have rare un earthed film 8mm footage out takes from ABBA THE MOVIE. All in total hours that never made it into the movie. So rare, this footage has never been on social media.
It's winter here in Australia, luckily in Queensland we still have warm and sunny days, just cold nights - I am reading Carl Magnus Palm's The Complete Recording Sessions, there are some fascinating insights and facts. Yesterday's soundtrack was Lycka! Today I stupidly thought I'll put on the DVD that comes with the ABBA Deluxe CD to listen to the ABBA in Australia and Made In Sweden for Export specials while I read, but of course the visuals took over and I stopped reading almost instantly! I guess I'm back to my ABBA CD's or maybe an Apple Music shuffle to mix it up!! 💛💙💙💛
BB , thanks for all you do bringing ABBA nostalgia to us with all these great memorable videos and scenes. What a group of intelligent, beautiful and happy people, ABBA!!❤ They are in our hearts forever.👍💕
Thank you, very nice, but forgotten scenes, anyway, still remember all that... They are still my life and family and always were... Great job, proud of you ❤
Thank you so much for the rare footage. It takes me back to a special time in 1976 when I was 7 years of age in Melbourne Australia. For me it was an innocent, playful time with Abba music in the air. Awesome!
Wow good find. I must admit I thought Abba didn’t endorse other brands. Maybe this was a Stig idea given the tour costs. THanks for sharing these fab video clips
ABBA usually didn't endorse other brands. Today, Björn and Benny are not positive about having done the "National" commercials. But ABBA also did promotional photos with Lois jeans in 1975. For their 1977 tour, they also got help from Qantas Airways and Volvo. Given the small number of concerts they did, ABBA never made much profit from their tours, so at least they had to try to cover their costs, which they usually did.
DANKE fürs Hochladen, die Bilder von Björn in Uniform waren mir bis dato unbekannt, alles andere schon zig mal gesehen, aber als 🅰️🅱️🅱️🅰️ FAN immer wieder schön anzuschauen !!! 👍👍👌👌 THANK YOU AGNETHA, BJÖRN BENNY AND ANNAFRID FOR THE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC !!! 👏👏👏👏 I LOVE IT 😍 🥰
Great findings, thank you and the other creators! This summer I'm spinning the "Ring Ring" singles from the new box set. And I love the song by a new English band with undeniable ABBA influence - "Nothing Matters" by Last Dinner Party. And Olivia Rodrigos stunning new song "vampire" has a "The Winner Takes It All" feel to it, not gonna lie! :) PS: And I can't get enough of Laleh's and Benny's "Against All Odds" cover from that Swedish TV show ...
Awesome thanks for another great video ! All Abba agnetha solo , Voyage especiall Just a Notion and I stillhave faith in you love those 2 songs all I listen to in my car ! Have a good one BB

Bobby’s brother, do you know that there is some American footage of ABBA that has never seen the light of day since it’s first airing? One of those is the Mike Douglas show in 1974 they were the very first US show to feature ABBA in studio doing a performance. They did Waterloo. Perhaps also, honey honeypeople have been wanting to see that footage forever and maybe some public pressure could bring about that and other rare performances in some type of deluxe DVD.
Great clips! Love them! Current soundtrack? Abba The Visitors LP! Was pleased to Rick Beato finally mention Abba in one of this videos - visiting Sweden!
This is the video where Rick Beato talks about Abba (for the first time ever) and he does a bit of an analysis of SOS! ua-cam.com/users/liveSmsPaXozpAE?feature=share
I was born in Sweden on August 29 1973 and my mom listened to 2 singles she still have during her pregnancy. ABBAs "Ring Ring" and John Lennons "Happy Xmas". I still have memories of ABBA as early as when I was 2 years old. When I was 16 I formed my band and practised in the same local vocal group (Famous in Europe and Japan) called the Boppers rehearsed. We played Björn Ulveus' great performances like "Rock Me" in our repertoire.
Interesting, All these footages! Thanks for sharing! These days I’m enjoying a lot with some videos of Anni-Frid Lyngstad playing different roles. She is an Amazing Artist 🙌 So adorable!!! Besides I listen to the songs ”Another you, Another me” and ”Just Like That”by GEMINI. Their version is to me Just Perfect 🙌
Bobby hi, do you know anything about the lost verse from Dancing Queen? It goes Baby Baby your out of sight, hey your looking alright tonight, when you come to the party, listen to the guys, they got the look in their eye. It cones before the second verse as we know it. Why was it left out, it was way better with this in. Thank you.
That verse originally started the song, followed by the section which is now the shortened 2nd verse. So Björn and Benny not only shortened that verse, but switched it. It certainly didn't harm the song's success! Björn and Benny usually took a lot of time and creative efforts to shorten many of their songs until they were satisfied. Many songs were originally much longer . For example the first unreleased version of "Hole In Your Soul" had a running time of over 5 minutes.
It's awesome to see all this rare footage and we may have just scratch the surface and we may see more footage in the future. As far as my newest purchase it's from an Australian singer Peter Wilson it's called time machine essentially the best of collection collection if you like euro-pop dance music plenty of his music is on UA-cam so check him out😊
Yes, I'm sure so much stuff is locked away. Thanks for your suggestions. I enjoy euro-disco. Right now I'm listening to Fancy's first two albums. "Get Your Kicks" is terrific.
@@bobbysbrother137 funny you mentioned fancy he does appear on some of Peter's music. Peter has recorded a song by Giorgio moroder and several songs by UK's saw team I'm sure you will really enjoy his music so check him out
The National ads were shown in both Australia and New Zealand. There were I think three promotional posters accompanying the TV commercials, to be displayed in the National dealer stores. I managed to beg the posters from one of the dealers and had them hanging on my wall for many years. I guess I should have considered how rare those posters were!
Muito bom o vídeo. Bem diferente dos demais. Fui fã do Abba num passado não tão distante. Aos. 72 anos. Continuo sendo fã e continuarei. ..... Abba. Forever....
I have a question that I hope you or someone could answer. I know that I am probably completely wrong about this, but I would finally like to have the answer. In the video for "Dancing Queen" there is a little girl in a blue blouse dancing in the video. I have been wondering if that girl could possibly be Frida's daughter. I have seen Linda Ulvaeus singing with her mother and have often thought what a wonderful thing it would be for Frida to have this video record of Ann Lise-Lotte dancing in an ABBA video.
As far as what my soundtrack is right now, I've been listening to a lot of Lacy J. Dalton, Sam Cooke, and Neil Sedaka right now. Odd combination of artists, but the music helps pass the time while I'm refurbishing statues (side-gig).
I never saw the out takes before or Bjorn in his uniform What a contrast to the Waterloo outfit LOL. Not that long ago youtube put a video on my watch list of a group that never caught on here called LUV In the comments it said Benny met them and there music was influenced by ABBA, so been listening to them you can tell they copied ABBA style and some of their arrangements so I wonder why here in UK they never caught on. Seems there was a late night TV series here but that did not do well.

Something about that Frida-Benny orange juice scene is hysterical to me. I don't even know why!
If you find that hilarious, now imagine the same scenery during the "Voyage" recording sessions.
