- The HPE Synergy 12000 Frame supports up to 12 half height server nodes in what HPE calls a composable infrastructure. This is different than traditional network architecture, which features separate building-block appliances for compute, storage, and I/O. The Frame 12000 includes all of these components in a single chassis. HPE’s One View management software is what brings it all together by creating pools of hardware components as virtual assets. IT administrators can then “compose” these virtual assets for different workflows, or recompose to address other workloads, all in the same chassis or across multiple chassis-very quickly.
The underlying goal of this “Composable Architecture” is to deliver assets that energize growth, strengthen profitability, boost productivity, enhance innovation, increase organizational agility, improve the customer experience, And, provide a … Watch the video!

Wow, great video and overview! Detailed and perfect for a first intro to the Synergy system.
Hey nice video and overview, but I am asking myself whats the typical usecase for this frame or what type of branch is using this. I have been working for more than 13 years in different jobs at it solution providers and never heard of that machine type before :D
Still using interconnect modules, separate FC and Ethernet modules in the back and independent Virtual Connect per chassis. Still generation behind its main competitor. Then it still uses 6x c19 connectors for power. Why? But thx for the video.
Technology does not age well… Did you see our review of the Dell EMC MX740 server sled for the 7U MX7000 chassis, basically replacing the m1000, even though Dell won't say that ;) ua-cam.com/video/VBcV4RslWv4/v-deo.html Thanks for watching, and commenting!
How do bay compute modules (mezzanine) connect with IO (Network & SAN Fabric) modules. Could you please explain this with a diagram or a white board considering redundancy as well.
Hi Kara, Unfortunately there is always something missing from these videos. Check out page 50 in the user guide here: www.itcreations.com/user-manuals/Synergy-12000/HPE-Synergy-12000-Frame-Setup-and-Installation-Guide.pdf
Hope that helps, and thanks for watching!
@@Itcreations-LA Appreciate your prompt response !
this does look cool but is it a gen 8, gen 9 or a gen 10?
Hi United,
This system was released in 2015 but it does support both Gen9 and Gen10 Synergy blades. Presumably, it will support the next generation too but you never know… From HPE it comes with a three-year warranty, which might also be the predetermined lifespan of this product. Clearly it's a replacement for the C7000 Enclosure. Like our friend Luwab said below, "Sooooo a blade… " Let me finish that "Server enclosure". Yes! Yes! Thanks for watching!
very useful info but Doug is very fast and not easy to follow
Hi Omar, sorry for the speed speech, I have been trying to tone it down a bit with limited success… Thanks for commenting and watching!
UA-cam lets you customize the playback speed. 85% seems to be a good speed.
@@techs3am709I do have a problem speaking too quickly and will try to reduce the speed a bit. Thanks for the input, I'm always trying to improve!
idk if that server has fast memory or more but the guy speaking surely does
🤣🤣🤣
vielen dank.Tool
Hi Fatty Bro, yes I thought this system was pretty impressive too! Thanks for commenting, and thanks for watching!
Seems very good information, but you are too fast. Its very difficult to follow. Kindly lower your rate of speech.
Hi Sudheer,
That would not be the first time I have gotten that comment. You'll be happy to know I have been working to reduce my delivery speed. in the meantime, perhaps you did not know but you can slow down the playback speed by hitting that Gear icon in the lower right next to the closed captioning (CC) button. it will allow you to reduce the speed. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching!
@@Itcreations-LA Highly appreciate and Thank you for the response
sooooo a blade...
Hi Luwab, I told them we could have made this video shorter… Thanks for watching!
The guy is talking to fast. Next time review the speed, it is not everyone that speak english like you.
Sorry Yassirabou…
What is playback speed?
@@ericcartman5722 Hi There,
Yea…I do tend to speak fast because usually we will set the teleprompter and hope for the best. It usually doesn't work out too well with highly technical sections but that's another matter. They are referring to the little gear icon in the lower right hand side of the screen . You can adjust the playback speed so , then, I , will , be , speaking , slowly. At least in theory. Tell us all how it works out! Thanks for watching!
You talk way too fast man.
Watch one of the newer videos. I've reduced my coffee intake. Thanks for watching!
Maybe just use the speed adjust for your personal preference. I ended up watching in 2x speed so no way normal speed is too fast.
