It's impressive to see this 295x2 setup performing close to an RX570 in Crysis. That was a heck of a lot of muscle to have in 2009! Of course, only a handful of games can actually take full advantage of quad SLI/CF setups so... there's that.

I was wondering if anybody made a quad PCIe 3.0 x16 (64 lanes) motherboard. That would be awesome but would any game even make good use of such a setup? Drivers would be capable of distributing correctly all the power across 4x cards or a 4x SLI cards (8 gpus)??? A 1.5KW dream :)

i think r9 295 x2 will work.
I have 2x GTX 295b (single PCB) those don’t get so hot
true. they run cooler but eat more dust. i have only one working because the other one was like a hoover bag :(
