Another use would be those campsites that have trees, but they are too far apart for hammock. With one tensa pole and one tree I could be able to stay in the campsite.
Wasn't a problem on my 1300 miles of PCT. I would agree that if you find sleeping on the ground acceptable, you should probably keep doing that, as less complicated and with many more market choices.
When are the 2.0 Trekking Trees going to be available on the website? I've been using the Tensa4 stand for 3 years of motorcycle camping but I'm looking for that lighter, smaller, more compact setup for hammock camping.
They went live this morning. Subscribers were notified. Would suggest Solo for MC camping if you don’t presently backpack with trekking poles, as simpler, cheaper, tougher if not quite so light.
How long are the trees (poles) when fully assembled without adjusting for head/foot height, including the tarp extensions? Thanks for your tutorial and any feedback?
Different answers depending whether you mean for the purpose of hanging a hammock, when the adjuster section must be fully lowered, or for say use as a tarp pole, where the lower working loads allows the adjustable segment to be up. Also different answers whether the extension segment is installed (or even carried). Because it's complicated, and the answers even change over time as product evolves, we'll refer you to product docs on site or to email, because we don't want to have possibly obsolete or misleading numbers floating about in public comments.
Great product!!! A phone number on your website would be good as the descriptions on products aren't too clear ( I live in Australia and would love to be able to purchase Trekking Treez for beach use...if the pegs/ stakes would hold in soft sand)... Would be far easier to talk with someone on the phone to ask direct question and about how to purchase from AU dollars to US dollars etc!
Hi - I'm half of Tensa and don't speak on phones at all. Cheryl does by prior arrangement (email!) but from the other side of the planet the timing could be challenging! We work together in different states and have never spoken by phone: all text all the time, and can't imagine any other way. We answer emails faster than most people check their voicemails, and with email there's a transcript, and linking and attachments etc work! Not sure how it works with AUD or other non-US currencies anyway.
@@cleverchimp Right on. Concentrate on what you do best. Buyers can make an effort to educate themselves about their own particular situation, the internet provides a trove of information. I checked your website, it's clear enough & using PayPal with a credit card the currency conversion is handled efficiently.
It should if 56" high hang points are sufficient. Tensa Solo is a bit taller and much cheaper, and Tensa4 is known to work well with Havens. Do you hike far with a Haven, using trekking poles? If not, the latter two choices are likely better.
Best video out there on the trekking trees. I come back frequently to be reminded of details. Love mine and my WBBB xlc!
Nice! I suggest putting the link to your website in the description so that people can click on it and go straight to the site.
Looks like the perfekt solution for me. My wife bought one for mee this weekend, shipping to Norway. Really loock forward to try!

Nice job.
Looks like too many parts to keep track of on a thru-hike and I'd hate to have to set this up in the rain. Maybe just camping would be fine.

I do like hammock camping however that hammock looks too much to deal with. Glad it worked for you @@cleverchimp
Beautiful! I have the full Tensa 4, but might want to go this route some day, to use for hiking.

Do you have any guides, or a material list for the 4oz diy hammer?
MSR makes a great lightweight aluminum stake hammer. A decent sized rock also works well.
Mine was made from the tip of an old ski pole and a billet of round aluminum stock. I drilled a hole in the billet and secured it with a screw.
Great product!!!

Does anyone know if this would work with a Haven hammock tent?
