Here’s how you can style your hair like Lauren Bacall using foam rollers and a vintage setting diagram. Products available here: www.amazon.com... Vintage Dress www.swellegantv...
I always loved her version with the mid lengths in the back being smooth. I feel like everyone does on base sets all the way to the root trying to create this, but they end up with more of a bigger Rita Hayworth kind of look.
Great video, fab results! A funny story is that when Bacall did her first screen test, she just knew the hairdresser would make it too curly… and they did. She had a certain way of rolling her hair so the wave fell level with her eye, but they wouldn’t let her do it herself. She was annoyed.
Perfection. I love the style and watching you shape it has inspired me to try it again. Maybe this time it'll look more authentic. Speaking of, I think her front section was cut a bit shorter to reduce weight over the eyes. If you reread the text, it's there. (I have a copy). Thst said, your hair is walking the walk.
Your curls came out really beautiful. I love how you did a true vintage set with curls away from the crown/top, and curled lower on the head from the occipital bone to the nape. I'm definitely going to try these rollers.
I love this set bc its way looser than say a Rita Hayworth style. Once I smooth out the mid lengths, I use my fist or the back of my hands as a round mold to brush the ends inward to create a smooth, polished look. I also like teasing the peekaboo just a little bit then smoothing out the top surface so it lasts longer and doesn’t go flat the second day. Loved this!
So happy to see you on UA-cam! I’m practicing this pattern but I did it before watching this and I did such a lazy version omfg! I work full time but love vintage hair. I’m trying to simplify everything as much as I can
I feel that! I work full time as well and only set/style my hair once a week. But it’s fun to do it when we have time. I plan on doing this pattern with pin curls next time to compare the results. And I think everything can be simplified to fit your needs and schedule ❤️
So it looks like it's just rolling everything in One direction in a "under" direction? I have very fine thin hair that doesn't hold a curl, and it's kind of layered in a sort if v shape past shoulders. So it could work. I definitely have to use tons of hairspray and then overnight full set . I think my sponge curlers would work. I almost can get this look. I just need to set it right in the back. But my hair isn't as thick. She's got great hair. I also use the cheapest hairspray. I think i need that spray so i can brush it without it losing all its curl. I have a new dress perfect for this
Now I wanna see you both as sisters in a movie! You achieve so much resemblance to her Thank you for demonstrate, I've been seeing this images forever at Pinterest but I never understood them 🙈

It would be great to see the rolling process! :)
Absolutely!

I can see her being very particular and can’t help but feel the same when I have had my hair done
Very very Virgo of her I can relate
You even look beautiful ❤️ with curlers
Thank you!
Lauren Bacall ? Yes, please.
Came out beautiful young lady.
⚡️Omg! You nailed it! You look stunning✨🙏🏼💖👏🏼😍
Can you please do a Gene Tierney hair from the movie Sundown 💗
That’s a gorgeous style! Similar to my middle part brush out but smaller curls. I have some small foam rollers that would be perfect for it! 🥰

I definitely couldn't get that many full double rows all around. My hair is super thin & uses few curlers.
This is grest with the original diagram
It would be of great help if you could do a hair cutting instruction video- how it's cut and what can be done with it. Thank u ❤️
Sounds like a plan ☺️
😊😊😊😊
Super !!!!
