I have no idea how they made a Lion feel like some masterpiece performer that the world has known for decades, but when he walks out i swear i can feel the energy of seeing him after so long.
Right? Crazy how you feel like it really is a legend returning despite never actually seeing all his story. Just the way they all cheer and sing, and are amazed by him
It’s that moment when he realizes his wife’s spirit is with him that gives me goosebumps. No matter how much you miss your loved ones, they’ve never left, you just didn’t notice it before.
Indeed. As they say, no one can love anyone without leaving a piece of their soul inside them, and that part never truly leaves, even after they have crossed over.
When Clay hears the crowd start to sing with Ash, he realized they never forgot about him and were waiting for him to come back and share his gift with the world once again.

Such a well written backstory. His refusing to sing only prolonged his grief the song itself was the beginning of "what he was looking for." Through his singing he could release his pain.
I love how Ash and the audience singing the song sort of make Clay's wife memory take form, and the way she looks at him as if she was saying "It's time"... The choice of animal for Clay and his characteristics is also so well chosen and thought... He is very majestic and has incredible presence yet worn out due to the loss of his wife... But, even though he seemed completely empty of feeling and tired of life, there's still this undeniable thirst to feel again that transpires in his eyes and his voice... and that is finally satisfied through music.
Just looking at his face throughout the video and he looks younger the longer the video goes on at the start he looks like an old man but by the end he looks like a young man with white hair
Hearing the crowd sing along with Ash, made clay realize his fans didn't forget about him. Making his way onto the stage was much like an old friend returning to see all those who were awaiting for his return.
Great movie, and from what I got from this scene, Clay was having trouble moving on from his wife's death, that it took Ash singing his music to help him move on. When Ash had the audience join in with this song, and his wife's spirit showed up beside him, that it seemed like her way of saying that it's okay to move on, to start enjoying the rest of his life again.
I think you're right, it was such a touching moment in the movie, especially Clay's reaction to the audience after he put himself back on the stage. Ugh, my heart.
When I first saw this, the ending killed me so much because I grew up listening to U2 with my dad and after he committed suicide in ‘16, I stopped listening to them due to how much pain i felt. It just wasn’t the same. And this was one of our favorite songs from them. This movie helped me rediscover my love for them and brought back the memories of my dad. Now I can enjoy this movie without feeling any sadness :)
The entire last act of this movie is full of incredible musical performances, but this is my absolute favorite of the bunch. Bono's talent shines out so well and ScarJo's underutilized voice gives this softness that you can't help but smile. Don't even get me started on the blending of voices from the crowd. It's just awesome.
I know this is just an animated movie, but I get chills when Bono enters the stage. I was fortunate enough to see U2 in the early 90s, and it still resonates as one of the most profound experiences I've ever had.
It is true she was there the whole time but he didn’t know it because he was going through grief and he could not realize that she was still there when I saw that scene it made me realize that-
"I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," "Could Have Been Me" and "Sky Full of Stars" are the most emotional and beautiful performances in Buster Moon's 'Out of this World'.
This version from Sing 2 is even better than the original song from U2! This really changed my life after COVID impacted me. I was in my last year of high school when I watched this movie. It really helped me finish up my high school years to end it well.
Buster Moon - done what he wanted, to make his father proud and he did it again Rosita - gain more confidence and overcome her fear of heights by saving Moon Gunter - showed that he's not only just a funny dancing pig, but also full of ideas and aced it, genius Johnny - improved more than just his vocals, played piano and now can dance..got recognition from his father by saying "that's my boy"😊 Meena - overcame her stage fright and also got a crush in the process, very sweet Ash - finally got her 'real partner' to perform with, look at her reaction when clay walks out to the stage..still got goosebumps 😊 And 4 more characters added in the lineups that took big part for their improvements Can't wait to watch SING 3 😊
To me it seemed like he could sense his wife’s spirit there with him and that it motivates him to go out and perform. You can tell how happy he is to return after so many years of absence. 😇
Clay being a Lion is extremely fitting. Lions are always portrayed as leaders. And Clay is a leader in Rock Legend. If they made Clay any other animal, the impact of this scene would have been SIGNIFICANTLY mitigated
I at 17 have realised that the purpose of a human's life is finding one's purpose (if that makes sense), always striving to make yourself and the the world a better place.
I'm back after actually watching the movie, I'm not going to lie I was crying lol. His comeback, his wife, the love of music, the show they put on - this was a really good movie.
My love for music and expressing my emotions through them and actually feel what the artists felt when they were making this just makes me cry... The emotions matter when you're related to music...
