What a great result for a very simple, but well thought out original idea. Dennis, you made that guitar into what every Squier guitar dreams to be. Original and valued
From all the comments, I think you should do a lil overview of the materials used, and simple methods you used. This paint job is awesome!!! I'm looking to do a blue with a slight glitter on it, nice trick using the toothbrush to spread the glitter :)
To me it looks retro/ stellar with the classic pickguard. The beauty of strats is that they are almost like cars when they are painted; they end up looking very pretty and clean.
+Carpe Diem Studio You should've printed some custom decals with the Fender logo and then your name under it. Then you just stick it on and clear coat over it. Woodeso has some good videos on how to do that.
I agree.... there are special ultra thin decals you can use to do a signature that look remarkably good and professional. I like his toothbrush splatter technique and it could be done in gold or chrome paint rather than white, for example.
Oh my gosh!! So beautiful! I'm a sucker for things spaced themed and now I want my ukulele to be spaced themed because I never knew that this could be done.
+Gacy x I slightly wet sand it after 2 thin coats of lacquer. Then I spray 3 more coats and wet sand it again. It takes lots of time to get mirror finish.
Why are so many people whining about the music and the signature? How sensitive and idiotic are people these days? It's just music, and it sounded good, and the paint job was just gorgeous and so cool! Christ. If you don't like the video, then just don't watch it.
Nice work. I've never seen someone take out a solder joint with scissors before haha. Now that this is a couple years old, do you have any comments on the durability of the paint that you chose?
Brad Angove haha I used to be so naive. Will never do that again😂. The paint stays very well actually. It is acrylic based clear coat on the top, acrylic paint for the painting. Btw thanks for your appreciation and your videos are very helpful.
I'm glad the acrylics worked out well for you and that the paint is holding up. I don't have the skills to paint with a brush like that. It looks awesome.
That paint job looks amazing :) Very well done it's cool that you can't even see the brush strokes after it has been clear coated, sanded and polished.
This is amazing I love it ...the people that disliked the video just can’t appreciate art, your custom galaxy guitar is unique and it’s one of a kind 👍
Hello! I'm the owner of the guitar and I wonder how much would you pay for it? After that paint I installed new TRACKHMANN pick ups and changed all parts (heads, bridge, saddles, whammy bar, pickup selector switch, volume and tone control knobs, and output jack)
Jacob Evans But it is a big deal for his reputation. Glenn Fricker and other professional rock/metal audio engineers would not want him in their studios because he is going to be too lazy to tune every take. If you are lazy, then don't record music. It takes a shit load of efford to make a good record.
Sometimes people who are into tapping but arent into building hand strength go for really light weight strings and theyre super easy to bend when youre tapping unless youre being really careful and super focused on intonation. Theyre also easier to pull out of tune. That being said I use lighter strings.
@@k.g.847 Hi! So, the guitar being played in the audio is out of tune. The strings themselves are probably in tune to a tuner, but as you fret notes, the notes are out of tune. Someone above said it could be that the strings are super light guage and the fretting itself is sending the notes out. I'd be inclined to think it's the harmonics though. Hope that helps!

Hello! I'm the owner of the guitar and I wonder how much would you pay for it? After that paint I installed new TRACKHMANN pick ups and changed all parts (heads, bridge, saddles, whammy bar, pickup selector switch, volume and tone control knobs, and output jack)
Aiden Wagoner ..acrylic paint is most common and very durable. But anything will work as long as u let it dry very well. U can brush/spray graphics with water based acrylic , then spray 3 or more coats of clear on top after it dries. Try not to remove the sealer coat below the paint. Practice on scrap 1st. Good luck.
One thing to note. Make sure that you let the clear coat cure (polyurethane or Polycrilic) at least one week (or even a month) so the VOCs fully gas out prior to final sanding and buffing.
I know I'm waaaaaaaaaayyyy late... But, all I need to know is WHERE CAN I FIND THIS BAND? I can't tell how amazing is this song... The painting job is incredible, too...
Cool stuff. What types of paints n clear were used? just wondering cause I had some hangups painting mine from bizzaro chemistry between the base colour n the clear.
That is beautiful! Have you ever tried to put Hibiscus flowers on one? Leaving the mahogany showing for the base coat. Just add a couple of big ones or whatever you want. I'm sure your viewers would love to see that. Wouldn't you viewers? I know I would. Just a thought. You are very talented. I have a beat up old Ukulele that I've been practicing with. I think it's a toy. LOL But it's working. I'm a cancer patient & I needed something that I could play in bed. I am lucky found you. I'll keep following you. I can't wait to see what you are doing next. I think I'm going to try that. PS thumbs up!

Too bad the pickguard hides most of it. Many years ago, I saw a video of a street artist doing spacescape paintings. He laid down a ton of red and then yellow right on top of it. He took crumpled up newspaper and touched it to the paint and twisted. Then again and again. Each time with fresh newspaper. Then he put a bucket lid over it to protect from overspray when he did black paint around the lid. Then he removed the lid and the twisted yellow and red paint was a perfect circle surrounded by black. It looked like the sun. He did a couple of small planets using different colors and smaller lids. And added some silver sparkle flakes for "stars". It looked awesome and I wanted to try that on a guitar body, but never did.

yeah my signature has a stickman next to it lmao
It almost seems a shame that the pickguard covers up so much of that beautiful paint job.
True - but maybe that's his next step - custom pick guards. It's where I'd go after such an amazing paint job.
paint a nebula or planet on the pick guard
Something i always hated about strat pickguards

I'm 2 years too late, but polish. maybe car polish not sure

Is anyone going to say anything about the tuning of the guitars in the song? It's beautifully written but jesus christ fix your intonation ; _ ;

Well it doesn't sounds good, since every guitar is detuned

Well the pitch is not a question of taste, but if you don't hear the false notes, good for you

a planet? a star flare? some galaxies swirling? so much you could have easily added. It's just blue/green with toothbrush flicks of white.
