Back when I was serving in the army. I was just coming home from my 2nd tour which took place in Afghanistan during operation endurance freedom back in 2011. I played this song on the plane n my whole unit sang the "I'm coming home!" Out loud. Man those were the years.

I lost my father when I was 8y. I have a mother in 1988 and a sister in 2000. I am 61 and I am immobile. a war veteran volunteer fell ill with cancer and three other diseases. I've been playing guitar for 50 years. I’m 61 now and a little getting ready to meet them again. When the time comes I will know. May God wait a little longer because I have a 6 month old grandson. A beautiful little creature. I still want to watch it grow for at least a few years.....

I had a very rough love/hate relationship with my mom. This song describes how I feel perfectly. I miss her but it’s hard to be around her. She is so far gone in the head. But I still love her. For she is my mom. And the person who brought me in this world.

For any context my past with my mom involved some mental things that messed me up. And still fight with today. I do love my mom but I really just don’t care to be around her. I’m just at that point where I have accepted that it is what it is and life will go on either way

This song may not be about his mum but too me, it is about mine. I lost my mom a few years ago, she was the only one that truly believed in me and gave me encouragement in a harsh, unforgiving world. And I had a dream where she told me "I'm so proud of you" with a hug and smile. I know many may not have mom's like mine but to me she was my only true friend in this world because she loved me unconditionally. Even though I lied and stole from her she forgave me. I have a wife, daughter and my dad is living but it's my mom who was the only one that understood me. One day. I pray, we'll meet again face to face.

The Ozz man hits it on the nail for me: I was found in a trash can so it was told to me and taken in by the same mother whom later drove me out of her home and alienated herself from me and my life and the family The Good Lord gave me. She told me lies and tried to stuff down my head Brit Chadesha everyday of my young life. The fire in her eyes made me cry for sure, but I will never go back to her home. Good tune.
