Remember it’s not about his mom. It’s about coming back to his wife after rehab, that makes it so powerful. I’m in recovery, I’ll be sober for the rest of my life I’m not ever going back.
To clarify to everyone, this song was written by Ozzy Osbourne As an apology to his wife Sharon, who he affectionately called mama after his second stint in rehab it was his way of saying I’m going to clean my life up and I’m sorry for everything
I lost my father when I was 8y. I have a mother in 1988 and a sister in 2000. I am 61 and I am immobile. a war veteran volunteer fell ill with cancer and three other diseases. I've been playing guitar for 50 years. I’m 61 now and a little getting ready to meet them again. When the time comes I will know. May God wait a little longer because I have a 6 month old grandson. A beautiful little creature. I still want to watch it grow for at least a few years..... Zadar-Croatia-Adriatic coast 3000y old town.
My nephew lost his mother, my sister at the age of 9. His name is Zeppelin. He lost his dad last year 2023. Big Ozzy fans and all 70's Rick but his dad lived and even acted like Ozzy. 🙏🌿💜 Be well sir ✨
I've just been in the hospital for 2 weeks after having a thyroid storm and my heart going 200 beats a minute. I was almost a goner. They gave me excellent medical care and got me in tip top shape. They got my heart back down to a proper rhythm, my thyroid is under control, and I've been doing physio to aid in my recovery. And now I just got the news that I will be discharged tomorrow. The feeling is absolutely overwhelming. I'm coming hooooooooome!
I had a very rough love/hate relationship with my mom. This song describes how I feel perfectly. I miss her but it’s hard to be around her. She is so far gone in the head. But I still love her. For she is my mom. And the person who brought me in this world.
Don't ever say you hate your mother. You never know when you'll regret it. To love and forgive, that's how you live life. Remember those words before she's gone.
I hope nothing but good comes your way bro. What sucks is that people who have normal lives don't care to look at other people's lives and see how damaged that person is.
For any context my past with my mom involved some mental things that messed me up. And still fight with today. I do love my mom but I really just don’t care to be around her. I’m just at that point where I have accepted that it is what it is and life will go on either way
There's a few things to appreciate here: 1) Top sound quality for this song 2) They actually animated the album picture which I think is really cool 3) They're leaving comments open... Man I hate that so many official artist channels have disabled commenting.
The place this song will hold in my heart and the heart of many others is why ozzy is one of the most inspirational people to exist, not because of one single thing he’s done, but because he’s done so many things in his life, good and bad, and still chose to give us many masterpieces such as this song
This song may not be about his mum but too me, it is about mine. I lost my mom a few years ago, she was the only one that truly believed in me and gave me encouragement in a harsh, unforgiving world. And I had a dream where she told me "I'm so proud of you" with a hug and smile. I know many may not have mom's like mine but to me she was my only true friend in this world because she loved me unconditionally. Even though I lied and stole from her she forgave me. I have a wife, daughter and my dad is living but it's my mom who was the only one that understood me. One day. I pray, we'll meet again face to face.
Such powerful words, I felt that in my heart, my dad lost his mother too I was very saddened by her passing but I couldn’t imagine someone else losing their mom, my world wouldn’t be the same. Stay strong brother, she misses you too! Remember her and she’ll live in your heart forever
Back when I was serving in the army. I was just coming home from my 2nd tour which took place in Afghanistan during operation endurance freedom back in 2011. I played this song on the plane n my whole unit sang the "I'm coming home!" Out loud. Man those were the years.
My Mom was just diagnosed w/Stage 4 Breast Cancer. I'm originally from OK, been in TX for the past 4.5 years, haven't seen my family in 3. I got the news last Thursday, and I drive back home tomorrow. This song is CARRYING ME rn. Thank You, Ozzy. ❤❤
My mom passed away two years ago. They never leave us as long as we adhere to their teachings. You feel even better when you pass those teachings on. ❤

My dog just passed the other day 5/4/24, it hurts, he’s been with me my entire life up until now. The same day I had this song in my home page, listened to it and fell in love. Already this song has great meaning to me, it feels like l he’s given me a final goodbye. Love ya Tobby, wish ya a wonderful afterlife. Guten Tag

Somewhere on the 7th floor of an office building currently under construction, a journeyman electrician is having their apprentice search for a spool of wire that doesn't exist to the backdrop of this song
This song has so much meaning to his life now. He was once one of the biggest druggies on the planet, he was addicted. Now he has officially "come home". Hes in peace, sober as can be, with sharon and his kids. Good job ozzy, you probably inspired tons of people to do the same.
I haven’t really talked to my mom in three years, we used to be so close too. When I was a kid she was one of the people I was closest to. So much has happened in those three years I’m not the person that she knew me as before. I even have a son that she has never met. I sent her a text tonight that just said “I love you mom”
Everyone with a love for ROCK AND ROLL knows this song. This song will stand the test of time. It's LEGENDARY just like OZZY! This will probably be his tribute song.
I played this song almost 2 weeks ago because my grandfather was dying and we were playing songs he liked to listen to, and I played this song and I started crying cause I was going to see my grandfather die soon, he really didn't have much left when this song was playing, this song will remind me of him till I die, I'll never forget about him, I love my grandfather so much, it's just different without him.
For Ozzy to even be mentioned along with an endless list of one hit wonders for this is a grand injustice and disrespect to one of the greatest songwriters in Rock Music
My mom was playing this after her brother (my uncle) had passed away from a overdose, whenever this song would come on she would skip it because she didn’t want to cry. I might want to sample this song because of that

The Ozz man hits it on the nail for me: I was found in a trash can so it was told to me and taken in by the same mother whom later drove me out of her home and alienated herself from me and my life and the family The Good Lord gave me. She told me lies and tried to stuff down my head Brit Chadesha everyday of my young life. The fire in her eyes made me cry for sure, but I will never go back to her home. Good tune.

I was hoping someone commented this. I was about to but you have it covered. Kudos to you for knowing. Lemmy has been quoted saying that he made more $ off the songs he wrote for/with Ozzy than he did in 15 years of Motorhead.
I have not seen my parents in over a year. Both parents are in their 80s, and I have no idea how much time they have left on this planet. For me, every time I hear this song. It just hits so hard in the heart... Just remember, life is so very precious and delicate. Never waste a single moment of opportunity to share your love with your family, friends, and others because that may be the only and last opportunity we get. Thank you, Ozzy, for amazing talent!
The fact that Lemmy Kilmister from Motörhead helped Ozzy write this great song just blows my mind to this day when I first heard about it many years ago 🔥🤘♠️
Thought this would be my song comming home from war. I understand it is about comming home from trying to forget. Tank you Mr. Ozzy. I home I will be home soon.
i remember me and my grandpa listining to this and it was my fav and i asked my hs to play it after every td i scored and i got one the day he died oct 11th at 10:23:48 pm 2 hrs after i got my touchdown im so glad i got to say goodbye and send him off with that
I used to think about my mom and call her when I heard this song as a kid. I still think of her when I hear it.. but I can't call her anymore. Call mom right now.
❤❤ this song holds a special meaning in my heart , ❤️ my nephew sent it to my Sister and I was there when she got it, After a year over seas in Afghanistan he was finally Coming Home ❤❤
My dad would always play this song on his speakers. I asked him why he would always play it, and he said that he was going to play this song when he got to see his mom again. Unfortunately his mom passed away a few years ago and he still plays this song, so now I get really sentimental when I hear this song
My favorite Ozzy song of all time!!! Its still so beautiful and has the best Zakk Wylde guitar playing ever! Happy anniversary to the no more tears album.
My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer yesterday and I got paralyzed when I received the news. First thing I did was hugging her and showed her she wasn't alone down this road. Nevertheless, I feel extremely scared about how serious the disease could be, cause we don't know how much it's spread yet. I tried to keep my composure, to make her feel that I'll be her rock, but I needed to come here, to this song and let the tears come out of my eyes, otherwise, I don't know what might happen with my emotional stability
So this is the very first song that brought me into rock (and metal) when I was an infant. My mother was a huge fan of Ozzy (not sure if she still is) and for years since then, every time I hear this on the radio or on my random playlist, I'm always singing along with it. I aim to introduce my kids to rock with this exact same song.
Remember it’s not about his mom. It’s about coming back to his wife after rehab, that makes it so powerful. I’m in recovery, I’ll be sober for the rest of my life I’m not ever going back.
I knew that, but I think this song can have many meetings to many people.
Amen bro stay strong 💪
Congratulations on your sobriety, Luke!!! ❤ Keep going and rock on!
Lemmy Kilmister wrote the lyrics to this.
this song hits totally different now. almost made me teary eyed for the first time. he really loves sharon. ❤
Rest In Peace Joe. We always said to play this when we died. And today was the day. We haven’t talked in years. But I wouldn’t forget.
Rip Joe ❤❤❤❤
Rest in paradise Joe ❤

Wrong Lemmy from motorhead wrote this song along with i dont want to change the world ,Disire and Hellraiser just to clarify
Either way it makes me remember my mother who died to opioids. She put me through the ringer and I can’t bring her back to say it’s ok
I know I’ll probably get static in the reply comment section but this is Ozzy’s ultimate love ballad song of his entire career 🤘
Why would you get static for speaking the truth?
Yes it is
La escucho una y otra vez, y otra, y otra más...y no paro. Me encanta.
Ima kill myself to this song in the background
It's a complete process, it is awesome
I've seen Ozzy in tears singing this. Ozzys mind is not what ot use to be. But can still sing beautifully. Love ya Ozzy
I think this is very related to "Changes' out of Vol 4
Thats what happens when we get old, besides the drugs from past
It's an emotional thing you know how many times he performed this? Have a heart..🤟

Times have changed and times are strange
Here I come, but I ain't the same
Mama, I'm coming home
Times gone by seems to be
You could have been a better friend to me
Mama, I'm coming home
You took me in and you drove me out
Yeah, you had me hypnotized, yeah
Lost and found and turned around
By the fire in your eyes
You made me cry, you told me lies
But, I can't stand to say goodbye
Mama, I'm coming home
I could be right, I could be wrong
It hurts so bad and it's been so long
Mama, I'm coming home
Selfish love, yeah, we're both alone
The ride before the fall, yeah
But I'm gonna take this heart of stone
I just got to have it all
I've seen your face a hundred times
Everyday we've been apart
I don't care about the sunshine, yeah
'Cause mama, mama, I'm coming home
I'm coming home
You took me in and you drove me out
Yeah, you had me hypnotized, yeah
Lost and found and turned around
By the fire in your eyes
I've seen your face a thousand times
Every day we've been apart
And I don't care about the sunshine, yeah
'Cause mama, mama, I'm coming home
I'm coming home
I'm coming home

The spirit of Ozzy n his family
I used to think about my mom and call her when I heard this song as a kid.
I still think of her when I hear it.. but I can't call her anymore.
Call mom right now.
God bless you man. People need to remember this. Cherish every moment
Yep I feel that I wish I didn't but I do
Yup took me 34 years realize too call your mom
Your mother calls you whenever you think about her truth
I know man, but one we will talk again, and it be glorious.
My Mom loved this song, it's been almost 8 year's since she passed.
Love this side of Ozzie. Really evocative.
I love you mom rip
This song brings me the greatest memories of my life.. when I used to be happy.
A cornerstone of 90's rock.
❤❤ this song holds a special meaning in my heart , ❤️ my nephew sent it to my Sister and I was there when she got it, After a year over seas in Afghanistan he was finally Coming Home ❤❤
Playing this as I return from my deployment 🥹
Tell Jodie to leave a case of beer in the fridge and all is forgiven.
Rock on man! Thank you for your service
a timeless Masterpiece...right??
An absolute masterpiece. Period.
Lost my mother last year.... I listen to this song going 120 mph on the side streets, let alone freeway....We'll meet again soon...😢
My dad would always play this song on his speakers. I asked him why he would always play it, and he said that he was going to play this song when he got to see his mom again. Unfortunately his mom passed away a few years ago and he still plays this song, so now I get really sentimental when I hear this song
Mama i,m coming home good song ozzy one your top song 👍😎🤘🎸🎸👍
My favorite Ozzy song of all time!!! Its still so beautiful and has the best Zakk Wylde guitar playing ever! Happy anniversary to the no more tears album.
Don't forget lemmy killmister without him who knows if this song would be what it was/is ...
Getting out of the hospital today. Can't wait to see my wife again
Song has a extra bang
1991,USAF, on Freedom Bird back to the States. Pilot played this over speakers...
Remember Ozzy rocks!!!!
This is still my favorite country song. I miss you, Lemmy.
It’s not country, it’s more so hard rock ballad with a souther lick towards the beginning thanks to Zakk Wylde who is very inspired by Southern rock
It's gonna be a sad day when Ozzy Osbourne leaves us the man that started it all with his band Black Sabbath 🤘
I feel you man, my mom's a breast cancer survivor. Just cherish every moment you have with her and keep the hope alive that she'll still be with you.
She must be so proud of you boys, MEN.
i miss you mama 😞♥️🕊
So this is the very first song that brought me into rock (and metal) when I was an infant. My mother was a huge fan of Ozzy (not sure if she still is) and for years since then, every time I hear this on the radio or on my random playlist, I'm always singing along with it. I aim to introduce my kids to rock with this exact same song.
I used to sing this in Orlando when I did karaoke. This song is so emotional. You can tell Ozzy really felt it when he wrote it.
This song taught me very young that you can be the prince of fuckin darkness, and its okay to be a mommas boy and miss your mom. 💙
He wrote this song for his wife
@DosagePosage that's true but when you listen to it the lyrics sound like it's about his mother.
My moms song to me is simple man and this is my song to my mother she was the one who influenced me to rock and metal I'll always love her for that
Yes Sir!
This song has gotten me through depression and has told me so much
Damn this song reminds me of me and my mom it always brings tears to my eyes
Same here...🥺
Com o tempo esse sentimento se torna uma bela recordação!
Playing this while on my way to pick my granddaughter from the hospital love you Ozzy ❤️🙏🏽👍🏽😊
Let's go Ozzy 🤘
