@@beepbop1301 basically, you get a 'shard' for every time you damage an enemy with an attack or ability and it maxes out at 3 shards i believe. whenever you shield or heal an ally, it heals that ally for every shard (the more shards, the more it heals) and deals magic damage to the nearest enemy. your passive procs the shard because you are technically damaging the enemies when your adc does due to the burn and bonus damage
@@eliserss used to be 3 shards, now it's max 2 shards (but more healing per shard)
got me so happy with this I feel like helia is such a fun item but I never get to built cause it just isnt that good I feel on most enchanters cause of the damage requirement ive only seen sona use it well but seeing this got me excited to it being used about to try this rn!!
That's because it only collects 1 shard per ability / auto damage, but if it's per enemy damage then I would so get Helia because it would actually be more similar to athene's
Wasn't this intentional with the Enchanter proc damage changes back in patch 13.20? I remember riot was having a make Helia great again campaign or something

Hi, If i'm not mistaken, isn't in milio's basic attacks that proc the helia and not the adc? Milio's W only empowers the adc's attacks for bonus damage twice during the course of W, so even then it would only be two procs. It really would be a bug if it turned out that the adc's attacks also proc helia just from milio W. Still interesting though :) will try out the interaction in practice mode

It's better now with the buff I've been doing it first on millio for awhile. It isn't a bug tho they changed his passive to work with it awhile back.

No, this only works with Milio's basic attacks. I main him and tried so many builds.
i've been doing this since they changed his passive to be counted as his own dmg (i think they were mainly doing it for cases of anti-heal)
milio is such a fun champ but his voice is annoying asf so i make sure to turn off my audio everytime i play him 🥰

Hi tamim!! I don't mean to be rude and please correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Milio's passive only count as 1 count of damage on enemy, and you need 2 counts of damage on the enemy to trigger a Helia proc? So just W'ing your adc (without attacking the enemy yourself) will need the adc to apply your passive twice before it procs Helia once. Which means that Helia won't proc on EVERY auto from the adc (which is what I saw in the gameplay, helia definitely wasn't proccing on every auto from Lucian)
It worked in the practice tool because you were also autoing the enemy yourself and applying the passive at the same time which counted as 2 stacks of damage from you and procced Helia for every auto.
I think in order it for it to work like that while W'ing an adc, it means you'll have to be constantly autoing the enemy at the same time, which doesn't happen much as a squishy enchanter. I think it might be clearer if you could hop in a custom game against bots with a friend and test it out and see if the interaction of Helia proccing on every adc auto still work if you put your W on someone else besides yourself. Because if this is actually a thing it would be amazing for Milio!! Tyty and no disrespect at all queenie
I'm not exactly sure what you're asking, because the way helia works is damaging an enemy gives you one stack (stacking up to 3 max) and then healing/shielding an ally consumes the stacks to do damage to the nearest enemy. So you when you W your adc the passive grants you a helia stack and then the constant heal consumes the stack dealing the damage. I don't think you need 2 counts of damage to proc it unless you're talking about something else.
@@TikiSoCheeky !!! My bad, I just went and reread the description and you're right. For some reason I had remembered that you had to stack the shards fully (back when the limit was 2) before it would proc, but I guess I just misunderstood. But I'm still not sure why in the video it doesn't seem to proc off every auto from Lucian, and when Tamim hovered over the helia tooltip near the end of the video it only said it did 500 something damage, which doesn't seem like a lot? I'm just not sure if it works exactly as it seems it did in the practice tool.
@@staardusted only works with Milio's basic attack and when you alt shield or have passive you proc 2 helia.

I guess i just don’t understand why you would go glacial with this setup? how is that better than blue and green rune tree w/aery?
i kinda go over it but i value the cc control to allow easier kiting = more auto attacks which will amount to more helia
