Thank you Dr Rabiul for your videos. I'm a physician currently working in Brazil. Personally, your videos usually serve as reminders of many topics in Pathology and Internal Medicine that I learnt while I was in the medical school many years ago. The discussions are very concise and up-to-date and I would recommend your videos to physicians preparing for medical licensing examinations such as MCC, USMLE, AMC or PLAB. Permit me to say that I enjoy your videos very much and I can only wish you more power to your elbow. Keep it up and best wishes from Brazil.
i have haemophilia A. and this video was great for me and i learned things i didnt know even tho i have suffered with this disease for 27 years. thank you for uploading doctor.
I found this video very helpful; the subject was covered quite thoroughly and provided a broad view of the condition in general. It was taken at a nice speed, not rushing through important details (but also not sending anyone to sleep!). All in all, extremely useful, it has given me a good understanding

Hello, thank you for liking my videos. Joint bleeding occurs in severe hemophilia. It can occur spontaneously ( without any cause ) , or can result from minor strain of the joints or even due to direct injury. One important thing about severe and moderate hemophilia is that although their concentration of deficient clotting factor concentration remains the same their symptoms of hemophilia is fluctuating in nature in most cases. That means during a certain period of time they experience increase bleeding tendency even with slightest injury : and that time is known as active phase. Joint bleeding can occur in active phase as well. Hope it is helpful. I will upload an image slide in my facebook page addressing how bleeding cause joint damage in hemophilia too ! That is also another interesting mechanism but needs image to understand properly. facebook.com/pathology.tutorials . Take care! Bye - sent from Galaxy Note 10.1 -

Symptomatic carrier is still a carrier. A carrier has one normal X chromosome and one X chromosome with the defective gene. Usually carriers are asymptomatic because there is normal X chromosome active in random manner. But they can become symptomatic if the random X chromosome inactivation happened in such a manner that most of the normal X chromosomes got inactivated and most of the defective x chromosomes remain active.
