Great video in the sunshine. I really love Halifax with its quaint cobbled streets and nice buildings. There is also a lot of nice eating places for a town. It's somewhere I go frequently and is a happy place for me and my family.
TY for the tour. Watched most of it twice. I was looking to try to find what could be identified with the very center. I am not saying there is one as some towns morph over the centuries or ancient centers change. I would appriciate any help on this. I guess the center is a little way north of Horton Street. My Grand Parents lived and were born there. My father was called up in 1943 and never really returned as was continously posted with his sevice job. I do some amature cartography enjoy sometimes viewing videos of the area or reading classics centered in the area. Halifax Borough Market looks about as central as any thing. Some towns as I said have no absolute clear center. I used to live in one. You were kind of central when you turned in to westgate street. But developments over the centuries had resulted in no clear center. It looks like at one time Southgate street may have neen the central north south through fare. But it all seems a bit unclear to me just viewing on UA-cam and maps from afar. TY again.
i just been to Halifax we were on holiday in Yorkshire.. we went to eureka activity center for the kids .. i had a quick look round the town and it was full of druggies and drunks quite a filthy scummy place ! but i liked the old buildings
Halifax is defiantly not a happy town. The town center is amazing and architecturally beautiful but the housing in Halifax is some of the worst out of anywhere. It's also the most dangerous town in West Yorkshire.
Was able to walk through briefly today. What a beautiful town! But I felt slightly unwelcomed... I was taking a few pictures and recorded a video (mainly because a bar was playing a very, very obscure song that would've made someone I know happy) and this random couple starts shouting something at me from across the street. Thinking they were con artists, I ignored them. But then the woman literally follows me into a restaurant and reprimands me for "taking videos including her child" and demands that I delete them. Then she tells me that what I'm doing is disgusting and that I should be deleting any photo containing any children. Like wtf is her problem. Is this level of crazy the norm in Halifax?
Wow, that sucks. I can't really speak for Halifax, but in some town centres there's always the odd unhinged individual who thinks there's some sort of law against filming in public... which there isn't! Don't let them put you off.
Thank you for sharing a nice walking video. from Japan.
Hey, thanks for watching!
Another sunny, warm day.😎

I like taking photos would you say it's a good place to do that
Such pretty wooden shops
Thank the one who is pretty consistent in giving a dislike every time since he waits very impatiently for your video. ;)
Haha, you noticed that too? Every video like clockwork! I admire their dedication!
Are there many people of color that live in Halifax?
It's a multi-coloured town. Not a hugh mega metropolice with lots of people in. So there are not a lot of any colour.
Halifax is the happiest town in the UK.
