Thank you for this. I have the same scope, and am experiencing the same thing as you after a couple of years of use with heavy cameras. I'll use this as reference to give my focuser some TLC.
Hi. I have had the same issue and found how to solve it a few months ago but did not share the solution because I do not have a youtube channel… So thank you for doing that. JM
This has just happened to me after going from a dslr to a dedicated camera and the extra weight hasn’t helped. Need to go looking at the focuser now. Thanks!
Thank you for watching. Yeah, it's not great, but works ok I would say if you adjust it. I don't know how it performs if you constantly move and assemble your equipment since I have it stationary in my observatory.
The two screws to the left of the lock is a push - pull system. turn one and loosen the other to level the clamp very slightly from what I have read. makes sense.
Wow... when did you purchase this telescope? It seems so many of these ED80's from SW STILL have this issue. I purchased one around 3 years ago and I immediately noticed the tube would slip with my camera gear if pointed up high enough. I managed to fix it up and thought skywatcher might have too by now. Glad you're putting this out there for others :D
Hi thanks for that
I was having exact same issue
Your video was first one I seen and I won’t need another
Thank you for watching!
Thank you, it was exactly the fix required for both my ED150 and the 8" quattro. You were a huge help with this.
Thank you so much for watching!
Another good video, very clearly explained, that will surely help people with that problem 👍 Clear skies
Thank you! I might replace the focuser in the future.

Thank you so much for watching and good luck with the adjustment :)

A lot of people are complaining about the low quality Crayford focuser used by Skywatcher.

I have a skywatcher Dob10 and tonight my focus tube decided to stop functioning. What the hades?

That is correct :D Thank you.
Un grand merci pour ce tuto 👍
Thank you!

I got mine 1 year ago and I guess it's just the design and price level.
Informative.
Thank you so much for watching!
Good advice, Martin. What's that I see over your shoulder outside? More Clouds. I sure hope you get some clear nighttime weather soon.
Thank you! I hope you are fine in the storm. Hopefully tonight will be clear and first light with the observatory.
My Skywatcher Equinox ED80 has an allen key socket for tightening friction. But I had to come here to find out how to do it.
Thank you so much for watching!
