    This deal makes absolutely no sense from a durability standpoint. Yes, Randle's coming off a major injury. However, he's definitely been far more durable and less injury prone than a player with bad knees and ankles in KAT.

      I agree but this wasn’t about who’s better. KAT is under contract until 2027. We were most likely losing Randle after this year. Between needing a center and wanting to cash in on Randle, this happened. I don’t mind KAT for Ju but Divo? I’m sick

      You guys look at numbers and say this guy is better lol. Its not about numbers when making a team its about fit. First KAT is a much better shooter than Ju KAT is a 40% 3 point shooter, therefore the floor will be much more spread for jalen, and KAT can play center which knicks need rn. The Knicks got better. Their floor spacing is much improved and Thibs can now play OG at the 4 with Bridges and Hart on the wings. And looking down the road, they can move Robinson to a team that needs a defensive big in exchange for role players, picks, or both. Call the Pelicans, Leon, see what's up with Jordan Hawkins.

    Good trade by the Knick front office. I love that they held onto Mitchell Robinson and "Deuce" McBride. Towns can replace Randle's scoring and on the Boards. Bridges, McBride and possibly Shamet can replace DiVincenzo's outside shooting. I want to see how Towns plays with the "Active" Bigs ( Anunoby, Achiuwa, Sims, Robinson, Morris?) The Knicks have. 🏀

  • @shiznitshnitzel4
    @shiznitshnitzel4 13 годин тому +28

    Randle on a contract year = selfish and will try to do too much, erratic, had issues with fans, didnt perform in playoffs. DiVincenzo i know it hurts but he was coming off the bench this year and it was going to be very difficult to get him minutes. His value is overblown because of his career season last year. Dont get me wrong - i love him. But this opens opportunities for Deuce to step into that 2 guard role, a guy that plays extremely good defense and performed well in the playoffs. It also opens opportunity for Kolek to get minutes, which is very exciting. Also, Randle couldnt shoot 3's consistently, often times being in the lower 30% range. KAT opens the whole floor. He is one of the best 3 point shooting bigs in basketball, and has shot 40% or better in over half of his seasons in the league. This makes Brunson unstoppable. How will teams possibly defend the Knicks now? Think about it. This really changes the identity of the team and makes us match up against Celtics and Pacers so much better. This is a win for both teams, but i am on the side that it benefits the Knicks more. We should legit be thinking - championship or bust. Dont be afraid to say that Knicks fans. It feels good because its true. We stay healthy - we are going to the finals.

    I think it was a bad trade. Donte was the best pure shooter on the team. Randle whom I don’t really like is very physical player down in the blocks we will miss that. Towns wants to play the 4, but Thibs wants him at the 5. Now we need another 4 and you don’t put OG at the 4 with his injury history. Bridges isn’t as nearly as good a shooter as Donte.
