Congratulations! Praise the Lord. Where are present day Carmelites of the province? More than the church buildings and houses, it’s the people, the friars and the communities they serve that should have been given the spotlight in this video beside the first batch of missionaries who landed in the Philippines. It is they more than the structures who make up the OCD in the Philippines today. I grew up right after Vatican II in St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Iloilo in the late 60s and early 70s. Thanks to the Carmelites. As a pre-school kid I cannot forget the pastoral charity of Bro. Dominic during his home visits. At my age then, it was awesome to have at home a Man In Brown!
