My daughter is 9 and saw a video of someone felting and decided to try it...then she found your videos and is watching every one of them! She talks about you so often! Thank you for your inspiring videos....she has learned everything she does from you! Hopefully we can order from your shop for a surprise gift for Christmas....she would be thrilled! But we live in the States, not sure about shipping. We love your channel!❤❤
She has pdf instructions on Etsy so even if the shipping is high you could print out some instructions and buy the wool colours closer to home. It might be a good option for you. What a fun present.
Aah, thank you! I'm so pleased to hear that your daughter enjoys felting so much. There are lots of great channels now and it's fantastic that it's all free (but I also get to earn an income). I hope she continues to enjoy it and I am slowly adding items to my Etsy shop, say hi to your daughter from me xx
Thanks, one lady wanted him for her grandchildren to sit on!!!! My wire frame isn't that good!! Had a fun time though, hope you are ok and not working too hard xx
Phillips your felting is stunning. The best I’ve seen. Love your display very much. Very appealing. I shall be watching your videos with great interest. I’ve stood at craft fairs in the past and they are very hit and miss. True crafters are happy to pay for handmade goods and so appreciate your work whereas others just want something for nothing. Vincent is stunning. Tfs 😊
I watch you from Rochester, NY. Your work is exceptionally well done. Your talent shows in your created items. You are definitely a professional artist who is steps above a crafter. I would've thought you were doing felting for 20 years or more. Bravo!
I loved your stall setup. It looks wonderful. And Vincent is the perfect Mascot. You are an absolute natural at the craft fair as well and your items are just lovely. And by the way, your town is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for taking us along on the craft fair. So generous of your time and your talents, sincerely appreciate it. ☺❤
Thank you so much! That's really kind because it takes me ages to film and edit this one so it's lovely to know it's appreciated, thanks for watching and commenting xx
Your stall looks so inviting and I definitely loved the mushrooms the best. It was lovely to get an insight into your day. Thanks for taking the time to include us.
Another brilliant vlog! Thank you so much for taking us along and Vincent really did a great job of showcasing your talents! Your display and packaging is so well thought out! Love to see you doing so well!
Great job❤ I do love Vincent. I did my first craft fair this weekend here in Ireland. It was a lovely experience. The rain kept many away. But I had many sales. The best part was the lovely comments and appreciated my art. Enjoyed your vlog❤
Thanks for sharing your wonderful experiences and adventures. I did craft shows for almost 5 years...every weekend for 9 months out of the year! It can be a lot of fun and a lot of work. Fortunately, I had a wonderful assistant who was so helpful. It was a great time.
Kudos to you, I really think they are hard work but they can be rewarding and I guess once you are in the rhythm you just do it, thanks so much for watching and commenting xx
Thanks for taking us along, Philippa. I do craft fairs in a small town in Ontario, Canada, and I must say that the quality of the other booths is much better than those here, which are mostly cheap jewellery, knitted, hats and painted signs. My little felties often draw attention, most have never heard of needle felting. I do sell my stuff at a lower price, because if I priced them according to the hours spent, I would never sell a thing! I do smaller items, like mice, dogs, foxes, and Santa head baubles. Great idea to put your table on social media to draw people in. Your stuff is so well done.
Thank you so much, this particular event, the lady that runs it is very good at selecting vendors and never has too many of the same so I am lucky to have found this place. Needle felting is becoming more well known but I still get lots of people baffled by it too, thanks so much for watching and take care xx
My mom did craft shows when I was a kid; some at churches and some in our house. I have good memories of them…but wow it’s a lot of work to do. Thanks for the video!
Great to come along to your craft fair Philippa and feel part of your day. Yummy Yorkshire looks a really good quality fair, I hope to visit one day😊. It would be good to know when it’s held and how often so plans can be made. It would be great to see you there. Well done Vincent, he definitely made a statement😂. You could have sold him numerous times over it seems. Trust all will proceed forward for your operation and no more delays. Will be thinking of you. God Bless 🙏🏻🙏🏻💐
Thank you so much, Vincent was very popular but I think his price would scare people if they had actually pushed me to say it (probably £750ish). I am booked in for Yummy Yorkshire next year on 14th April, 23rd June and 10th Nov, all on a Sunday and yes, the craft fair is a lovely little experience with good vendors. Big fingers crossed the op goes ahead but I expect it won't! Thanks so much for watching and being here, take care xx
Thanks, it is all about just doing the first one with no expectations of sales, treat it as a practice run and make notes of what goes well and if you need to change anything, good luck if you go for it xx
Lovely to see how your day went Pippa. It looked like it was very cold. Thank you for also sharing your figures, I'll be checking out your Etsy when you've updated it ❤
Brilliant video Philippa thank you ❤️ Loads of information and great tips . Vincent did you proud didn't he. Was very helpful. Looking forward to seeing the next one. ❤ X
Thanks Philippa for taking us along to your fair. I did my first ever show back in September here in the states and I was very happy with how it went. Your videos are inspiring.
That's great, I hope you did well, your creations are fab, I think I could take home everything in your cabinet behind you in your videos 😄, thanks for watching ❣️ xx
Wonderful video! Absolutely love your work! Someday, I'm going to try felting. I think I've tried just about everything else. Lol. Too many loves and not enough time. Right now, I'm into crocheting. I've done needlework, jewelry making, wood painting, stained glass, and other crafts. So I think felting is next. Love your videos. Take care.
Thank you! I have done a few crafts but needle felting was the one for me once I started, it definitely had the addiction issue 😅. Nice to cross over and combine crafts too, thanks for watching ❣️ xx
You deserve all the success, craft fairs are very hard work! I’ve done a few, I suffer with arthritis and chronic fatigue, my last fair wiped me out and I decided I couldn’t do it anymore 😢 but I did enjoy being out there meeting people!

Thanks so much Shamma! Yes, I am very concentrated on recording sales because I literally forget what I have sold within minutes and I really want to know what sells well etc. I had quite a few people pay cash and those are the ones I loose track of. Imagine a needle felting craft fair and you, me, Vicky and Nicola and other felters would all be there together, we wouldn't sell anything as we would all be chatting away and probably buying items of each other! 😂 Take care xx

But, listening to customers is invaluable and I get lots of compliments too which is very lovely. Sometimes I don't want to go however I also enjoy it in the end xx
Great vlog as always and so interesting to watch. I would love to go to that craft fair. There aren't many things like that where I live. I do think that you should make another Vincent to sell since so many people inquired about him!

Thank you one of the best videos ive seen 😊 im a big crocheter but started felting today now im watching your videos. Perfect! From the lake distric 🇬🇧
Thanks for the video, Pippa! I love that you took us along and actually showed footage of you making sales and chatting with customers. I haven't seen that on a video before from the others I watch, so that was really cool to see. You had SO many things to sell!! It was a full table! You've been super busy. Do you find that after a craft fair your items are messed up from people touching them? Are they dirty or do you need to repair them a little? I'm looking forward to your Etsy shop update and to the next video! Keep up the incredible work 💕
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it as it took a while to edit and film it all but wanted to try and include conversations in too which worked well in the end. I find at a craft fair my items are pretty much ok, just the odd smoothing needed. When I left items in shops for a week, then they got really messed up. I definitely had lots of items and my shelves are still full so slowly adding some to Etsy, thanks for watching ❣️ x
I do but the items are all okay really, no big issues. Vincent also got stroked alot but he survived just fine, only one lock displaced. As I said above, I don't leave things in shops, well especially not long haired items x

I so love your insights - thank you so much. I must need to revisit previous show videos because I'm certain you've answered this already, but looking at the bountiful variety of goodies at this show, how long did it take to finish all of your makes for the show? I hate hearing my recorded voice played back too, and mine has none of the musical charm of a British accent ❤️
Thanks, so this took ages, I guess if I am honest, I would need at least a month for most of the under £30 items and another month for the larger ones too. Generally the larger items are with you for longer so it's just restocking the smaller ones but I also do videos and courses in that month too. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching xx

That's great, glad you liked the video and I really hope it goes well. I have other older video's too in my business playlist. The highland cow head is one of my courses on Thinkific, links are on my website below. I use just one colour on the course but you can use any colour you want xx
Yes and I even had about 5 pieces I couldn't fit on the table at the start so could fill up as things sold however normally I have too little pieces and end up spreading them out to look better xx
Do you ever consider changing your prices based on the cost and demographic of the craft fair your attend? My husband and I sell at two different events and we are unsure if we should be adjusting our pricing down for the more affordable fair.
I don't do that as I feel it's unfair on people who purchased at the expensive one but what I do end up doing is gradually increasing the prices on my best sellers. I guess if there is a big difference in cost for you to attend you could pass it on to the customer and that is a good thing to do xx
I'm ok with it, within reason but most people are lovely and ask first however Vincent got stroked loads with any asking, luckily his locks are in firm! xx

I don't do that as I feel it's unfair on people who purchased at the expensive one but what I do end up doing is gradually increasing the prices on my best sellers. I guess if there is a big difference in cost for you to attend you could pass it on to the customer and that is a good thing to do xx
So... where DID you get the chair :3
Hi, so it was on Amazon, I still love it, the link is in my Amazon shop in the description but it did cost a fair bit, thanks for watching xx
How do you feel with potential customers coming up and touching / petting the items?
I'm ok with it, within reason but most people are lovely and ask first however Vincent got stroked loads with any asking, luckily his locks are in firm! xx
Vincent is magnificent!
Thank you! Xx
