  • In my seminary, I was studying a course on church history, & its teachings made no sense to me. It was illogical & unnatural, & ultimately made me leave Christianity, explains ex-Christian scholar and Hindu human rights activist, Esther Dhanraj.

      Never. But unfortunately, Abrahamic religions teach people to doubt their own logic. So it traps people.

      History of Christianity? Firstly, the term is a misnomer, it's CHURCHINITY. Has nothing to do with teachings of Isha Putra [Jesus]. It's an evil demonic cult bent on vile destruction of the world and peoples.

    • @jacliveshere
      @jacliveshere 3 місяці тому +1

      @@petem9994 "Churchianity" is a term modern Christians created in order to disregard the testimony of ex-Christians. Years ago Christians had a different tactic, to say "it's not a religion, it's a relationship". So, when anyone spoke about leaving religion, Christians simply said ex-Christians never experienced the real thing.
      "Churchianity" is a non-existent term. When we speak about the history of Christianity, we are talking about the Christian faith itself that led to the canonized Bible.

      It's a Jewish name at the origin.
      Esther is a prominent figure in Jewish mythology or history, born as the girl of a Jewish merchant settled in Persia along many Jews who have been kept as prisoners from Palestine or Babylonia (don't remember the story accurately sorry 😅).
      She achieved to protect her nation by wedding the Emperor of Achæmenid Persia itself, Cyrus the Great (a popular Zoroastrian (Irani & Parsi) name in India, by the way).
      Many Christian names that are believed so by a section of Indian Christians are, in fact, Jewish names or brought from other countries and ethnicities, like Greeks, Arameans, Romans, etc. And it's logical. In fact, Christianity is a religion of conversion, not of a specific race or region. So popular names among Christians today are those of prominent figures of Christianity who converted (or born from long ago converts) from a large array of ethnic or cultural backgrounds. Or from the Biblical mythology - shared with Jews and also Muslims - to which both Christianity and Islam refers to.
      These references can change accordingly to your church denomination and cultural influences, per example South Indian Orthodox Syriac Christians used to wear many "community" specific names of Syriac/Aramean origins, which aren't found among their nearby Catholic Tamil Paravars (a community from South TN) brethren. That's because Syriac Orthodox Chruch and Roman Catholic Church, even if connected, didn't have the same history, geographical extension, and cultural markers.
      The same can be said between Roman Catholics and Protestants and Evangelical churches, as Roman Catholics do deep references to their own saints tradition, whereas Protestants and even more Evangelical Christians do deep references with Judaism, in relation to the idea of becoming more close to the "original" Christians.

    Abhijit Iyer Mitra says - there is no Christianity - there is just Paulism & Peterism. I don't call anyone Christian. I say Churchians - those who follow the teachings of a church.

    You are right the church has been corrupted in years. Human intellect and can never perceive God's love but in the spirit of truth.
    Thank God for His eternal, true and unconditional Love through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
    John 3:8
    The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

    If Christianity is the truth and the God of the bible is the true God and He created everything for His Glory, Pleasure and Evil Entertainment. And the Christian God also set up the fall of man in the garden of Eden. To justify His insane cruelty both in this life and in the after-life. Then people like esther dhanraj are making a big mistake.
