    For the record my exact same model has just failed after 4 years of very moderate use in a U.K climate. I expected a lot better. We have just had a new Grundfos UPS3 fitted today. We'll see!

      Haha ups3 even worse, changed several times over last few years. Fact is, due to all this energy efficiency bs products made nowadays are made to fail. Old grundfos or wilo lasted 20-30 years

    For some reason my installer has set my pump up on the medium house with underfloor heating. I don’t have underfloor heating, since I’ve now balanced my radiators to ensure downstairs heats properly it’s cycling from c2 to c3 sometimes. Could this be air? Also is it as simple as turning that dial to the left for radiators to a medium sized house?
    Final question using the vent button, do you do that while the heating is on? The instructions are not clear on that process.
    Thank you

    • @WiloGroup
      @WiloGroup  10 місяців тому

      Dear @tmiles9397,
      the underfloor heating is just representing the constant pressure control mode.
      That works also for radiators. However, to set up the system more efficiently, you can go also for variable pressure control mode (on left side for radiators).
      While turning the knob you see the delivery head in m displayed. Please set it up to your system requirements. To calculate a setpoint you can have a look at wilo.com/gb/en/Support/Tools/Pump-dimensioning/en.
      You can run the pump venting function while the heating is on. Please be aware that this is just venting the pump, not the overall system.
      Kind regards

    Hi . Can be fitted with the electric connection face upwards ??
    I mean does it make any difference??

      Dear Matteo - no, this is not permitted in order to prevent water from entering the electrical connection. You can find the allowed installation position in the operating manual.

    To achieve the optimum pump setting for radiators in the Auto mode the pictogram shows a small/medium/large house - do i set the pump based on the number of radiators - i have 5 - or is it to be set according to the maximum height from the lowest point/pipe in the system to the highest point - the height that the pump ( or head ? ) that the pump has to cope with please ? I have fitted a Wilo Pico Yonos 25/1-5-130.

    • @WiloGroup
      @WiloGroup  2 роки тому +1

      Dear Twiglet,
      the pictograms are indicating the size of the system in terms of “number of radiators” or “floor surface” that needs to be heated. Please have a look in the manual (wilo254575.pdf) p. 56 for radiator heating settings. With 5 radiators, please select the small house pictogram on the left side.

    I'm afraid I'd have to agree with some of the comments below, my 73 year old father has had one of these installed and thereis very little info in the manual online, he has an older vented oil system and so i believe he should set it to 2 but he thinks there may be more to it but there's no way to know......

    • @WiloGroup
      @WiloGroup  10 місяців тому

      Dear Justin,
      the pump setting is rather depending on the heating system than on the heating appliance itself.
      So whether it is oil or gas fired, important to know is what duty point needs to be met (depending on the pipe resistance of your system). The duty point is essential for the right pump dimensioning.
      You can find some assistance for that on our website: wilo.com/gb/en/Support/Tools/Pump-dimensioning/en
      Our Yonos PICO pump offers three different control modes in total to meet this duty point. The three steps (where your father set it to step 2) are rather simple but less energy efficient setting than the other two.
      Then, on the left side of the knob, you can select the differential pressure variable control mode which is rather used for radiator heating systems. If you have an underfloor heating system we highly recommend to used the constant pressure control mode that you can set on the right side of the control knob.
      Hope it helps.
      Kind regards

    I am thinking of buying a pump WILO YONOS PICO 2.0 25 / 1-4 25/40 CIRCULATION PUMP. However, I have noticed that it comes in two versions: gray and white. Is there any difference in these models? (apart from the color, of course)

    • @WiloGroup
      @WiloGroup  3 роки тому +2

      Hello Tom,
      thanks for your question.
      The Yonos PICO with the darker grey cover, that is presented in this video, offers additionally the volume flow indication on our LED display compared to its predecessor version with the light grey cover. This light grey colored version displayed only the current power consumption during operation.

    Hallo, bei mir wurde die Pumpe letztes Jahr am 30.12 eingebaut weil die alte Defekt war. Heute Nacht kam es bei meinem Heizkessel zu einer Störung. Als ich den Heizkessel wieder Hochfuhr ist die Grüne Anzeige erloschen. Es sieht jetzt so aus als wäre die Pumpe "ausgeschalten". Was könnte die Ursache dafür sein? Die Heizkörper werden ca mit 40 °C beliefert, werden also noch warm aber soweit ich mich erinner waren es 60°C bevor es zu dem "Ausfall" kam. Haben Sie mir da eine Idee? Vielen Dank!

    • @WiloGroup
      @WiloGroup  2 роки тому

      Hallo Moritz,
      wenn im Display gar nichts angezeigt wird, sollte die Spannungsversorgung schlichtweg geprüft werden.
      Die grüne Anzeige der Leistungsaufnahme [W] bzw. der Sollwert für die Förderhöhe [m] wird immer angezeigt. Bei einer Störung würde die Störmelde LED rot aufleuchten und es würde ein Fehlercode gezeigt.
      Somit zeigt die Pumpe immer etwas an sobald Spannung anliegt. Das könnte dann auch die geringere Temperatur an den Heizkörpern erklären, wenn die Pumpe nicht läuft.
      Viele Grüße

    I am confused. What is the difference between this pump and ua-cam.com/video/rblyeG5nTP0/v-deo.html. Both video say that its it "the new improved model". I see the visual difference, but is there anything else?

    • @WiloGroup
      @WiloGroup  Рік тому

      Hello gatis paeglis,
      the main difference is the availability in the countries depending on our customer’s needs.
      The pumps only differ slightly in their functionality. The Yonos PICO described in this video has the display of the current volume flow, the manual restart function as well as three speed stages selectable on top.
      Since we are a global UA-cam account we upload videos of all our global portfolio.

    Absolutely useless! Only in the last quarter of the video he talks (a better English speaker would be welcome) about the "green" buttons, and the explanations are somewhat incomprehensible, you gather that you can set it for "radiators" or "underfloor heating" but he just skirts around these, nor does he explain the various pictograms. HOPELESS !! I have asked for a more details manual as the one I found in the box is equally insufficient to understand how you set the pump up. I cannot be the only one that has this problem. It was easy enough to install ...but I still do not know how to set it up. You can hear hims saying there are 3 functions: for radiators "betaPD?" (what is this?) for underfloor "betaPT?" (again what is this) why can he not spell it out slowly what he's he saying for goodness sake!!!!!!! and the "..I can see that ...?... open 1 meter..." open 1 mt what??? Spell it out man!

      Dear Emilio,
      thank you for your feedback.
      At 3:13 you can see the symbols surrounding the green button we are referring to. On the bottom left side there is the symbol for radiator heating (blue highlighted area). Here, we have stored the control mode for variable differential pressure (Δp-v). On the bottom right side there is the symbol for underfloor heating (yellow highlighted area). Here you can set the control mode for constant differential pressure (Δp-c).
      For those control modes you can gradually set the required delivery head in steps of 0.1 m which is also directly visible on the LED display.
      You can also set three different speed stages if you prefer this setting. These are shown on the top. However, with the control modes either for radiator heating or underfloor heating you will save more energy.
      If you need more information, just contact us or have a look on our website. There you can find a comprehensive operating manual (www.wilo.com/yonos-pico/om) that gives even more information in text form than the picture-based manual which is available within the scope of delivery.
      Kind regards, have a nice day,

    How you think you can run a business and talk about time being important on site, then FAIL misserably in giving CLEAR instruction on setting it, expecting people to trawl the internet to find the right download, why not have a easy and comprehesive demonstration on youtube in clear English i.e spoken by someone from England and at least most people in different countries could understand a clear accent even with the most basic grasp of English, using your product should not be a misserable experience, would I recommend this product to someone, probably not, based on setting it up, I would say stick to Gunfoss at least you know where you are.

Based on your comment it’s difficult to tell exactly what kind of information you were missing, whether you were primarily unhappy with this video format, or whether it was the German accent that put you off.
