Do explosive pushups on concrete and try to push yourself an inch off the ground, landing on your knuckles again and absorbing the shock with your elbows. You want them to be quick in succession. Allow yourself to recover by alternating other exercises so you dont damage your hands but condition them instead.
@@KyleTheDalek that would depend on the person. You don't want to injure yourself but you want to condition your knuckles and wrists. I would start small and build up until you know what you can take. Wood for should be fine. Concrete just builds up calluses better but might bloody up your knuckles if you dont already have any.
I did knuckle pushups on concrete for years when I didn't have access to a bag, but there's no substitute for impact. Whether that's hitting a bag bareknuckle or solid walls (more lightly, lol). It's really not that hard if you approach it gradually and progressively and don't try and impress anyone (too soon 😄). Also, knuckle pushups work best with vertical fist alignment.

The technique and strategy is way different because they have to keep their hands tense, try not to mess up their hands, and are way more reluctant to eat a punch to get a good hit in like some normal boxers do. Some of the guys talk about doing explosive knuckle pushups on concrete and punching wooden dummies with their bare fists.
