Lost 3 in one day. This falcon took the first one. She came back about 20 mins later. My birds were still up and scattered that’s when she took the second one. That’s when I recorded it with her taking off with it. While most came back. Some were missing and she came back another 20 minutes later flying around looking for them. Didn’t see her take the third one but the third bird had been missing since. The rest did came back. I have never seen one Falcon get my birds like this until this yr. Normally when one get snatched. Im good to fly the rest. It’s November and I don’t think she’s feeding any young. Lucky we don’t have goshawk here. We do have coopers and yes they get my birds too. It’s been bad. I just been periodically letting them out for a stretch but I been losing them so I’m locking them down for the winter.
@dogenthusiast8729 I have seen and heard multiple falcons hunting the same area, but yours is something else. We can't do anything but take notes and learn when we can and can't fly for our area. I've tried flying a smaller group and at different times of the day, and that doesn't seem to work either. If the falcon doesn't show up, then it's the goshawk or the cooper that does. As long as your team already kits and spins, they should be good to take the season off. Good luck!
Lost two in one day? That's harsh.
Guess it's time to lock them up for next season before the goshawks show up, too. Good luck!
