Before the first showcase showdown, Bob (Barker) stops to talk with Bob (Boden), a soon to be former CBS executive. Bob would go on to be instrumental in the founding of Game Show Network (and it's original programming renaissance in 2001-03), the Family Channel's last serious foray into game shows in 1996-97, and was involved in several series that made it to air.

I have yet to meet Boden, though he did pass within a foot of me at a taping of Wheel. I have met a few people who have directly worked with him though.
Interestingly enough, this is not the first reference to Boden on TPIR - on 9/12/84, someone in the audience asked Barker if his license plate was "TV BOB."

At that time in 1988, I could see the 2nd number being lower than a 3, for a $12K car average then. Unless it were a luxury car, then I could see the 2nd number higher than a 3. In that game, the best way to win is to roll only 1s or 6s. Or roll the exact number

2:00 Hmm, interesting use of Narz Concentration prize music, 10 years after that show went off the air. Except for the car music, never heard any of the Concentration music on PIR (though Concen. used PIR music during its last season)
