    This stuff is truly amazing. I always have a few bottles in case a paint job goes south. The only thing I wish is that you sold it in larger bottles.

    It's really a good product, I spread this with my brushes and I leave it for about 30 min there, it takes off about 80% of the paint. I will try with softer brushes if they help the efficiency of this product. I put this in a spray bottle, but I regretted, it wasn't useful. Maybe a sponge will do the trick, but I'll see

    I've just used this product for the first time (ultra). Model is a Tamiya car body with a few layers of Vallejo water based, Tamiya acrylic and humbrol enamel. Compounded errors. Time to start again.
    Paint began to peel very quickly. I haven't soaked it but have gingerly applied product with a paint brush.
    Vallejo base coat and primer left which I will try again.
    My observation so far is that it is working but I wouldn't recommend this product for children.
    If you can, apply product outdoors with plenty of ventilation. Wear a respirator minimum P2 and gloves resistant to solvents.
    I began applying this indoors without a mask and the smell quickly took hold of me making me feel a little dizzy.

    Tried to used IPA, Dettol and oven cleaner, wasting my time like a chump, after watching videos by some kids posing for modellers...There is no contest, Clean Slate does the job in minutes, IPA needed 2 days and the paint still wouldn't fully budge, same with Dettol, oven cleaner even worse. Guys you must try this, it's pure gold and well worth the money and you can reuse it!

    After the paint is removed (or to a point that is sufficient) should the model or figure be washed over soaked in water after using Clean Slate?

    • @Vmssupplies
      @Vmssupplies  8 місяців тому +1

      Hello, Yes you should rinse the model with water to make sure the remover and tiny paint chunks are gone.

      Hello, Clean Slate 2.0 will remove any acrylic product no matter the container or make and Clean Slate Ultra will remove both enamels and acrylics. When in doubt use Ultra as it has broader working spectrum. Thanks a lot for commenting! Chris

    Can I use this to remove Mr hobby mr Finishing surfacer 1500?

    have you tried this on lacquers like MRP?

    • @Vmssupplies
      @Vmssupplies  Рік тому

      With paints that have strong solvent in them there is this issue where paint reacts with plastic and some paint particles get integrated with the plastic, so stripping is harder. We haven't tested with MRP but Ultra should cope, coped with some nasty Humbrols and even Revells which are very hard to remove.

      The ultra 3.0 will strip MRP.

    Hi what is the disposal procedure for this product.

    • @Vmssupplies
      @Vmssupplies  Рік тому +2

      Hi John, good question. You simply pour it down the drain and it biodegrades, it 's not highly toxic for water organisms and water readily neutralises it. So if the fluid gest on the floor on table you just pour some water over and wipe it. But it gets better, you can reuse it till it loses potency, simply stain the fluid after stripping to get rid of paint flakes, and it can be reused. Once you notice the potency is too low to properly strip you can then dispose of it. Chris

      @TheSnowwraith Рік тому

      @@Vmssupplies Thanks for the disposal information. Further to this; is it possible to reuse the solution if you filter out the paint particles? For larger pieces you may have to go through a full bottle (or more) and it's expensive to buy in the UK (~£12 a bottle + postage costs) so it would be good if it could be reused.

    • @Vmssupplies
      @Vmssupplies  Рік тому

      Yes you may use a strainer and as long as the fluid retains solvency power you can use it. :) Chris

    • @Vmssupplies
      @Vmssupplies  Рік тому

      If you mean plastic parts with chrome coating, then we haven't checked sorry, but it should work OK. You can strip paint off of metal no problem though.

    • @Vmssupplies
      @Vmssupplies  Рік тому +3

      Good point Rene, Clean Slate 2.0 not so much it's quite mild. Clean Slate 3.0 Ultra may give some skin irritation. So gloves are always a good idea. Don't worry products are clearly labelled and all health hazards are mentioned there. :) Chris
