I imagine Overall didn’t delete those first few messages because he really treasured them. It was a little depressing to know that Coco still called him after he died, but we all have our ways of dealing with grief.
That was extremely well made, well acted, wel.....EVERYTHING!!! Coco's voice actress did an amazing job with just the sheer vocal flexibility and believability of it all; from pre- and post-trial messages you can really get a vivid scene of what's going on with her and her mindset. Like. REAL major props to Pretty Pegasus Wings. I do hope she does find happiness in something, or someone, that way she can cope with her grief and come out feeling whole again. Damn dude almost made me cry. why u good at dat >:(
Aaaa I’m sitting here trying not to cry her clinging to her lost loved one hit me so hard it’s a common way of coping that and her last message just my hurt the actress did a great job! I felt the emotions right along with coco

God, this hurt to listen to. The actress did an excellent job portraying Coco’s emotions. Not gonna lie, I hope we get more stuff like this for EOJ. Just taking the time to look back and see what the defendants have done since the trial. Hearing about the changes they had to go through. On a side note, I know it’s meant to be completely separate from the actual series, but… my curiosity is on high right now and I feel I have to ask: Who was the one that started playing the messages? I can only think of two options: the ghost of Overall Concept, or… and the theory I’m somewhat dreading because it’s one I had since the end of the first case: it was the one responsible for his death. I’m sorry, but even before these messages were released, I cannot help but think Overall’s death WASN’T a suicide. My gut is screaming that WHATEVER or WHOEVER distracted him when Polomare stole the fabric was the true cause of his death. And if these messages actually ARE canon, that just made me even more suspicious. Maybe it’s just because I’ve never gone through what Overall did, but I just don’t think he’d go from the happiest stallion alive, ready to propose to Coco to the point that he would commit suicide. It just doesn’t add up for me. I can’t help but feel that the distraction, in one way or another, is tied to his death.
mental illness isnt always straightforward, someone who's been dealing with downward swings and depressive cycles like he had can struggle with relapses quickly into really negative spiral thinking that if not caught or recognized can lead to drastic action. It was just unfortunate timing his happened in such a perilous and dangerous situation, while there is a chance it was a murder it doesn't seem too unlikely that it was actually an impulsive suicide. Sometimes people do stupid things when they're panicked or stressed or suffering that doesn't make a lot of sense.

Nice one with this little sidestory element of justice makes me wonder if we'll see her again somewhere during the other cases that will happen in Equestria, and whatever or not she tells rarity and the others that she may have or may not have manage to find somepony who can make her feel love the same way as overall concept did for her.

It hurts to hear this...but I love it at the same time. The shift between the phases of her life with overall really show not only how she's grown but really does build her character more than what we got from the case. And the emotion in her voice is powerful as well you did a great job with this and I can't wait to see more.

My heart it aches I said it once back in case 1 but I'm saying it again poor Coco didn't deserve this to happen to her all she wanted was true happiness and then this happened I get that the 1st 8 messages were meant to show before the case happened then the rest of the messages were post case 1 and I still feel bad for her to this day as she deserves some happiness. Real talk I nearly cried when she cried at that final message because it not only hurt my heart it hurt my soul.
Hearing these voice messages makes me sad. I KNOW Overall’s death was NO SUICIDE! His real killer will be punished! (Right now I feel the Equestrian Council may have something to do with it)
I know it’s so late, but… this video really touched my heart… I’ve never lost someone… but I’ve lived a lot of my life with a lot of pinted up anger… and this video… these calls made me realize that a lot of my life I’ve taken for granted… that I never truely shared how much others matter to me… this really took my heart.
