A wonderful Commemoration of our soldiers who died 80 years ago. The atmosphere was electric especially when the children appeared with their flowers. It was a very special moment to see them place flowers gently onto each soldier's grave. Thank you Arnhem for not forgetting our young soldiers and the sacrifice they made.❤

While I have seen it first hand it is still good to see it done publicly how the Dutch (and the Norwegians) still appreciate what we did to free Europe from Fascism. To the rest we are just a nuisance. "We will remember them" Per Ardua Ad Astra

Jeff Roberts has become a well known veteran attending this memorial for decades in NL. He was personally greeted by our king William-Alexander ( not mentioned in this video ) present at the ceremony as host on dutch soil. Princess Anne was a worthy representitive of king Charles , who is seen by the dutch as a good king and deer friend of our royal family as was late Queen Elisabeth II.
"more than 1200 men"....(?!) The exact number of these men is known and should be mentioned in my opinion. There are now 1,684 Commonwealth servicemen of the Second World War buried or commemorated in the cemetery. 243 of the burials are unidentified and two casualties are commemorated by special memorials. There are also 79 Polish, three Dutch and four non-war (including three former Commission employees) graves in the cemetery. It was a beautiful remembrance with particularly the veterans and the children
Charles should never of been made the king . Should have went to Princess Anne . For me she has done more for the royal family and has stayed out the limelight and has a very intelligent head on her shoulders . Charles and William ? No .
Every king needs loyal supporters they can’t trust to do a job well, on behalf him and the nation. King Charles has this in his sister Anne. Not everyone wants the top job but the job they do is just as vital to the monarchy. Princess Anne has been able to be an Olympic horse rider, enjoy running her large farming estate, her family and her hobbies while doing a great job.
Charles being the eldest child of Queen Elizabeth was her rightful heir. Even if Anne had been first born she could not have become Queen because of the rules of primogeniture which were in place then. Those rules weren't changed until after Prince William married. Now Princess Charlotte takes precedence over her youngest brother Louis. I have no doubt that Princess Anne would have made a great and decisive Queen and the whole landscape of the RF could have looked quite different.
My Dad was with the Royal Engineers and they were tasked to go and support and build a temporary landing strip. They also got cut off going towards Arnhem ,but they were not surrounded by the Germans. We salute them all. 🫡
Princess Anne must be one if not the hardest working members of the Royal Family.
Definitely hardest WORKING ROYAL
Thanks Heather:)
Honour the heroes who fought and made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us. Thank you for your service.
Thanks for your service.
You will never be forgotten ❤
My grandfather was in the British army that liberated the Netherlands and he always spoke of the generosity of the Dutch civilians.
All graves are each adopted by a family and looked after.
Thank you for doing this, I 'm sure it seems so much to the families of the fallen. They are never forgotten.
actually that is not the case in Oosterbeek.
What a beautiful thing for the children to do.
So very respectful
I was one of them in the past and also mine childeren.
I really like Princess Ann and the tremendous work she does.

respect to all the ages, young and old. may we always join the people and soldiers in remembering history past and future
A member of the Royal Family less in the public arena uninterested in social media.
This is less public? Can you see how many people and cameras are there

Princess Anne is a proper royal like our late queen Elizabeth her mother ❤
270 years of making money off slavery, and you want to honour them?

May they rest in peace❤
Funny ‘ol world , Germany was the enemy yet prominent at this event , Russia was a friend and banned from attending
russia is a fascist mafia state with oil and gas. And whe're still waiting for them to pay back the Lend-Lease.
We will never forget the heroes who liberated us ❤️
Beautiful commemoration.
A fitting tribute.
The Princess Royal is looking well. Bless her.
I heard Kier Starmer had threatened to arrest Princess Anne for reading from the Bible. That's really messed up if that's true. Smh.
Lest we forget, and I never will.
What is a "multi-faith service"?
No reference to the Trinity -
The only operation that Monty designed…a total failure
The movie depicted a train wreck...and apparently historically accurate..
Ann the only royal i respect the other needs to abdicate.
You're either loyal or you're not. You can't be both.
Princess Anne Is the only royal worthy of being called a royal the rest are just a bunch of tosspots!
Really, you know that do you?
Me, God.
We got heads kicked in!

Nick, you either support the system or you don't. King Charles is our rightful king.
At least learn the language properly.

Charles was never "made king" he became king by hereditary right on the death of his mother.
Your personal opinion is neither here nor there.
