Grandma's Hashbrown Casserole:
Ingredients
1 (32-oz.) package frozen diced hash brown potatoes, thawed
1 (10 1/2-oz.) can cream of chicken soup
1 (8-oz.) container sour cream
1 cup shredded mild Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped onion
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cups cornflakes cereal
Directions
Prepare the oven and baking dish:
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 2- to 3-quart baking dish with cooking spray.
Combine casserole ingredients:
Stir together the first 5 ingredients and 1/2 cup of the butter until well blended.
Spoon into a greased 2- to 3-quart baking dish.
Crush the cereal, and stir in the remaining 1/4 cup butter. Sprinkle over the potato mixture.
Bake at 350°F for 50 minutes.
Buttermilk Biscuit Recipe:
2 cups self rising flour
6 TB unsalted butter (cold)
1to 2 cups buttermilk, you may need more or less depending on the thickness of your buttermilk.
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°
Combine all ingredients and mix by hand, using a little flour to keep it from sticking to your hands too much. Pinch of pieces a little bigger than a golf ball and roll into ball shape. Pat in extra flour and press slightly onto baking pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, until bottoms of biscuits are browned. Brown the tops and spread with butter!
Cube Steak & Gravy recipe:
Cube Steaks, I had 9, but just get as many as you need.

salt & pepper, or your favorite seasoning!
eggs
oil for frying
Depending on how many you're making you may need more or less flour and eggs. I used about two cups of flour and three eggs.
Heat oil in a large skillet. Season the flour with the salt and pepper. Whisk eggs in a bowl. Dip cube steak in flour, then eggs, and then the flour again. Cook in hot oil for 3-4 minutes per side.
When the cube steaks are done use the oil in the pan to make gravy. If your oil is too messy then you may need to switch it out for fresh oil or butter.
Turn heat down to medium. Add flour and mix well. Start adding milk a little at a time and mix until smooth. Continue adding milk until you get it where you want it.

My grandad started with a breakfast spread with all kinds of meats every Sunday and that went all day. My great grandmother had a spread on her table every day, all day long.
Do people actually go to grandma's house after church nowadays? Or even invite the pastor and his family to lunch after church. My pastor and wife are actually my family and we live an hour from each other, so I just take them out for lunch from time to time. Much easier.

Your Grandma sounds like me when washing dishes. I want the water hot. My Mom either made fried chicken or put a roast in the slow cooker before church. She would come home and warm the chicken up in the oven. On Saturday before my siblings grew up and moved out she made a big breakfast with bacon, sausage and eggs and either toast or pancakes. I am the youngest of 6. Now I want some fried cube steak lol.
That looked delicious. Think I will make that for Sunday's meal. My mom & sisters always makes Sunday's dinner on Saturday. I try to every so often when I'm not busy. I liked the coffee sign where you put it under the coffee makers.
That’s what I do, decorate winter like, and use white twinkle lights around. My husbands grandma did that every Sunday! And my Granny did sometimes!! Now your supper looked amazing. Love y’all and see y’all tomorrow! Oh and the your winter decorations looked lovely!

Have to make this casserole. Yummm. I think I could eat all of those biscuits. Lol! They always look so good. They are my favorite food ever. Your home always looks so peaceful and inviting. Maybe because I've seen all the love in it. ❤
One idea for you. If you can find styrofoam balls in a craft store or at Walmart you can cover them with glue and then roll them in silver or white glitter and make snowballs to add to your winter decor. You can also glue them one on top of the other and make a snowman. Use small tiny pieces of twigs from outside for the arms, anything small and black for the buttons and eyes (I cut off black straight pins and pushed them in for that once), glue on an orange tic tac or something similar for the nose. Use your imagination for what to use for a hat and scarf. Your kids might like helping you make some for your display.
I spray my grater that spins before I use it. Clean up is a breeze that way. House looks beautiful!
I have made hash brown casserole in my 9x13 crockpot. Works great for an after church meal.

I like it when you tell us stories like you did when you were making the hash brown casserole.❤ my family we used to gather at my grandmother's on Sundays for cabbage rolls those were the best things my grandmother made of course she was a good cook all around. Put the cabbage rolls were a huge family favorite whether it was a Sunday dinner or holidays we all went after those before anything else. We even argued over who got to have the Cabbage from the bottom of the pans that tasted so good with the sauce we wanted it for over our potatoes.😂
