What's sad is that 99% of monkey videos on youtube are monkey torture videos. I just wanted to watch cute monkeys, instead one of the results that came up was a literal dog fighting ring featuring a monkey being mauled.

It's likely those memories won't last for long as they don't have the same brain structures to record and recall long term memories like we do, one of the reasons we've evolved to be the dominate species. Now if our leaders were only as evolved and could remember what they said _yesterday_, or even remember we have cameras that show what they said yesterday....

    "Why do monkeys still exist?"
I replied to someone's comment in another thread which asked "Why do monkeys still exist today?" so I wanted to clear up this confusion. This is a misconception about evolution, we did not come from monkeys, we came alongside them. I'll answer this as simply as I can below:
It is because of something called speciation. It occurs when a population is divided for whatever reason, and the two groups do not intermingle again. After a very long time and many generations, changes in the environment favor some traits or hurt others. Different traits will be favored in those two groups that were once the same many generations past.
During this time, mutations occur during meiosis (sperm and egg production in the body) or during fertilization that make very small changes in the overall gene pool, but can develop into more prominent changes (or disappearances) over time. Mutations occur in DNA so after many changes in the group's genetics over a long period of time, individuals from each group would no longer be able to create viable offspring. Speciation has now occurred and the two separate species will continue to change in new and different ways as the mutations keep occurring over time.
A very long time ago, this happened to the species that was the common ancestor between us and monkeys. It happened most recently too between us and chimpanzees, the primates most closely related to us.
This is why monkeys s̶t̶i̶l̶l̶ exist today.

Whenever I see Videos of all of these varieties of 4-Handed Monkeys, I could not stop myself comparing Human feet to theirs. Our feet are only useful to stand up straight and wear suit and necktie. Other than that, we fall and hurt ourselves as we start aging. Senator Mitch McConell got hurt recently; Monkeys have exceptionally great abdominal muscles. They can jump straight onto the branch a tree or fall from it jumping down. Somehow, they never get hurt. Even small branches or leaves of the trees do not hurt their eyes.

I got a better read for you. Stats on the distribution of wealth. The top 1% owns more than 96% of the rest in United States alone. Oh and it's still increasing. Maybe even 98% by 2024.
Why do you think the middle class is shrinking in America? Because the rich hoards power and money. And sadly, more power and more money begets even more power and money.
I have no idea why you spread such lies. Either you're super wealthy yourself, or successfully brainwashed by the elite. Simply put, you're either rich or you're fucking stupid and learn some real facts and numbers before you post your stupid ass comment

You’re right, but also wrong. The countries are NOT the problem. Certain people in them are. People with more money have more means to get more money that they don’t need, leaving the ones that can’t get it very easily to fall into failure. First come first serve is pretty fucked up when the population is ever-growing when it shouldn’t be, and humans have long lifespans that keep them at the top for extended time.

Dang it.. I cried at the end with the spy monkey seeing how sad the monkey’s were. And they all hung their heads lower..
I feel it’s very interesting with the black macaques in the beginning. they had an abundance of food, water and shelter in the thick jungle, they had less tension and anger towards each other. They started learning new things and being compassionate. Very human like qualities with the cuddles and hugs and asking each other for it instead of just doing it for the sake of dopamine. Imagine if all humans had the same and didn’t have to fight or work stressful underpaid jobs just to get enough money to eat and sometimes don’t eat just to pay off bills. Imagine how quality of life could just be amazing like that? I’m a bit spoiled as I was born into a house my grandparents built and still live at home. I’m so grateful and feel so fortunate and at the very same time disappointed and angry in myself for it, so I contemplate the offing of myself because I know with my disabilities I wouldn’t be able to live on my own. Sucks seeing that perspective with just seeing the peace with how those monkeys lived.
