If i remember correctly, moonlight sonata was within the romantic era and has some romantic era in it's structure, Beethoven himself is actually a pre romantic composter, who wrote classical in his youth but began to add more elements which would define the romantic era and paving the way for it.
Yeah because he was in two different era
That's right.
The moonlight sonata was written in 1801 and the romantic period started in 1825-30, so it’s very close to being romantic, but still classical
@@hauthot287Reducing a stylistically diverse era of music into neat discrete periods is already questionable, but whether or not a piece is romantic certainly does not have to do with the exact year it was written in.
Even within that paradigm, the romantic period is generally thought to have been started in 1802 with Beethoven's Eroica symphony. But there already existed music in the romantic style before that(including the Moonlight Sonata) and there were still composers who composed in a classical style well until the 1830s.
@@hauthot287 you have to look at the piece itself not years when romanticism became widespread
Ah yes, my favorite type of classical music, classical
“classical” is a period of classical music just like “baroque” and “romantic”
Damn you I was just about to comment this💀💀💀
I know it sounds funny but anyone who learns music theory knows it's correct lol
Welcome if youre new, the art is created here.
@@jarenlee6587 Music theory? More like musical history…
Don't mind me, I'm just Renaissance, crying in the corner with my bestie, Medieval Gregorian Chanting!
Don't forget french troubadours!
Piano didn’t exist in those times yet.
I don’t know why more people aren’t into renaissance music.
*mozarabic chanting intensifies*
And I'm Avantgarde Classical, crying in the basement
I'm just happy I have all these songs on my playlist
I love impressionist, it makes me daydream
Shoutout to or playing the piano 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Phenomenal Playing!!!
Well Done, Sir!!!
I Absolutely Love It!!!
Definitely Baroque is my favourite
Modern: *john cage silence intensifies*
4’33
My fav piece
@@gmfrunzik Worst piece of music
Is 4’33 all anyone knows john cage for?
Only real ones know what true modern classical music sounds like...
And it sounds like shit
Let's listen to some finissy
Is Yiruma in the mix?
@@tylarjackson7928 no I'd say that's more or less piano pop.
That doesn't make it bad of course it just doesn't really fit in the classical canon
@@dosterix6034 Those American ballads are a favourite of him ngl
I think you should have played some Mozart for the classical... Moonlight sonata is more like romantic
Debussy hated being called an impressionist though, his music is just calculated right
LET ROMANTIC COOK. One of my all-time favourite musicians is Tchaikovski he was so mf good
Hot take, romantic is the best period imo. Most fun to play, catchiest tunes, and some of the most memorable composers from brahms to saint-saens.
for me,la represetation of the romantic,is liebestraum, sorry for bad english
Number 5 That's 🎉correct😂my song soundfamiliar
minimalism my beloved
when i was studying music in highschool i had a sheet of all the styles we had to learn to identify and i drew little hearts around minimalism
@@growskull omg i need to do that in my piano minimalism books
I love no. 4&5
Nice
What are the names of the songs?
(In order), Bach well tempered clavier prelude in c minor, Beethoven Moonlight sonata, Liszt/Paganini La Campanella, Clair de lune and idk the modern one.
@@naarfaem3530 nuvol Bianchi.. is the morden one
These *pieces.*
please stop, STOP, *STOP* calling them "songs"
@@naarfaem3530thanks
@@octopuszombie8744The last one is a song tho
1. Baroque
2. Romantic
3. Classical
4. Impressionist
5. Modern
Romantic and impressionist for me. Now and always
Clair de lune was in the romantic era too
Me after knowing La Campanella was a romantic piece :
La época en la que fue creada esta pieza se llamaba romanticismo y es desde después de beethoven hasta no se
Ohhhhj
@@felipekozameh1689 the theme from "la campanella" comes from a violin concerto by paganini, which makes it kind of classical rather than romantic, even though the study was written by a romantic composer. a 100% original composition would have fitted better
@@aurelio3532 sabía que la pieza fue creada por paganini en otra escala pero yo creo que fue una colaboración entre ambos y luego liszt cambio la escala y unos arreglos
@@aurelio3532yeah Liebestraum would’ve been 20x better. but the video creator just wanted to flex a bit. also La Campanella gets you lots of views so i don’t blame him for including it
Thanks. I am just a casual classical hearer. because I don't like a lot of classical And now I know why. Because I like only Classical and Baroque and I did not know the differences... :D
should've done John cage's 4'33" for modern
Well tempered very well)
He is just flexing his piano skills
My favorite type of classical music, classical music
Could have chosen Stockhausen for the last one, come on.
I was expecting you to play sorabji or finnissy at the end
I favor late 19th century to early 20th century piano composers more like L. Godowsky, Szymanowski, Scriabin, Amy Beach, Rachmaninoff, A. Schoenberg, Respighi, Debussy. But I have to say that my favorite composer of all time will have to be Maurice Ravel, he is unmatched in my view.
So I’m guessing
1. impressionist
2. baroque
3. Romantic
Merci
hmm i will play classical classical music
Where are rennaisance and miedeval?! Those are my favorite
My Favorite Piano ❤
I'm impressed
I never knew modern music was considered a type of classical works. I thought it was contemporary.
modern classical is a style but it's not really the kinda thing he played, its more stuff like henry cowell and john cage. alot of people arent into it because its usually very dissonant but personally i like it the most out of all classical styles
Romantic for sure
0:22 liebestraum no.3 would be better for romantic section but ok sure 👍
Yes
3.5: Doorknob
You probably know this, but you are ridiculously good.
Not sure moonlight sonata last movement is the best example of classical. Maybe hadyn or Mozart
Well explained
I love impressionist music ❤❤
Baroque - J.S. Bach
Classical - Mozart
Romantic - Beethoven
Impressionism - Debussy
Modern - You
1.prelude & fugue
Number 6. Orchestra pieces (don’t know why they weren’t listed because they’re the fukin best kind) lol
So basically it gets better at showing emotion till impressionist
CLAASSSIIICCCCC
“Modern” isn’t classical music
what
The romantic era was LIT
Been playing the modern one for years
The 2. Classical brooooooooooooo i know that!!!!!! I think from *Your Lie In April* !!!!!! I love that anime!!!!!! Boommmm it's really *Your Lie In April* for sureeeeeeee!!!!!!! Damn broooooo i know that music
SINCE WHEN DOES ASMOSDOLL LIFT? NICE GAINS BRO!
my favs are romantic and impressionist
You presented them in chronological order as they developed in the world
Was that modern example really classical? It sounds like pop.
can you pls show how to play the last on the piano?
it's called nuvole bianche by ludovico einaudi, its easy to learn
My fav is romantic or classical
I love it❤
if einudi is going to be like the 21st century modern, then i'd add a seperate section for contemporary. 20th century contemporary music is beautiful, and probably one of my favorite eras for music, along w classical and other genres like psychedelic.
Neo classical(20th century) and renaissance are missing
Yeah, my favorite classical song is classical
yeah classical "sOnG"
Is there an instruction to NOT use the pedal for the first 16 bars of Claire de Lune?
Modern is so much simpler. It is also made for the common people to enjoy. Is it really classical music ?
Well, the one he played - It's NOT. It's literally pop music for piano. Modern classical is like Sorabji, Finnissy, Ligeti, ...
Clair de Lune🥺🥹
what about modern, like rach abd scriabin, shostakovic
Mozart been real quiet since romantic dropped 🔥🔥🔥🔥
The Modern classic sounds like Church music!!❤❤
That first one really sounded like The World Revolving or was identical
If we talk about classicism with Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven onestly i think the Moonlight sonata isn't the best choice to classify the period Beethoven piano piece's have very little in common with piano piece's by Mozart and Haydn and with the Vienna's classicism
Moonlight sonata its romantic
the second movement (a minuet) of the Moonlight sonata is much more "classical"
1 and 2 are my favorites
👇❤️
Divenire is is underrated btw❤️❤️
Baroque,Classical and Romantic
What next era call?😅
I like classical classical music
Classical is a period between the 1750s to 1820s, none of those others are classical. Let alone moonlight sonata n3 being written during the romantic era
Name of the second song plz ?
Impressionist, sure.
I was hoping for some atonal madness for the modern part.
6: marching music
What is the modern song that he played called?
Plz wat is the name of the tune he played of the classical prediod
What's the name of the 5th one? It's very soothing
What’s the fourth song called again
I don't think Moonlight Sonata is strictly classical, however. It was written, after all, when Beethoven was going deaf, so definitely later on, and it's very romantic sounding. Maybe Rondo Alla Turca would be a better example of a well-known quintessentially classical piece. And I think a more "stereotypically romantic" piece would be Tchaik 1 or Chopin Nocturne 2, La Campanella was originally written by Paganini in the early romantic period, so it isn't typically what we expect of Romantic era music, even though Lizst was quite clearly a romantic era composer.
What type of classical music do you play?
_ classical
I guess Expressionism and avant-garde just don't exist (It's a joke, I love this guy)
I did a PowerPoint slide on these
What's the name of classic music?
Classical classical
Classical music really should only be used to describe music from the second half of the 18th century to the beginning of the 19th.
Does anyone know the name of the top 3 song please?
1
What is the third one called?
For the romantic music I heard shut down - black pink.
What. Blackpink literally copy-pasted two measures from a classical piece composed 200 years ago, edited it out and repeated it a gazillion times
It's funny how people STILL think that the *classical* piece was the one who copied from blackpink😂what do they not know music existed way before the 1900s
🤮
Very nice 👍
Dang he didn’t notice you
What is the name of the third song
When he got to modern I expected him to just slam his face into the keyboard 😅
