OMG....right from those first notes.....spectacularly complex and inviting......so rich, bold, and mesmerizing.....to my ears, it doesn't get much better than this.............
Jon Gee + Strega + Elmyra 2 = beautiful sounds ❤ I haven't heard of Steve Hauschildt so I am off to check out Strands on Bandcamp... thank you for bringing him to my attention 🙂 cheers, andy
Always a treat to listen to your jams ✨💯✨🔥✨ so lush and passionate with full, resonate tones. I’m really feeling the harmonies and pacing of this one. Thanks for sharing, my dude! ✨🙌❤🙌❤✨
Slow and melodic rising moon, Rising with hope’s promise, A life of laughter, adventures, family, Through cabled memories recalled, As candles’ flames show the light of life, Love will shine through it all. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨💖✨✨✨

Hey my friend all the best wishes to ya sun son! Very nice cover but don’t know the track before….love your ambient drones so much! Peace and love bro.🖖☺️❤️🔥
Wonderfully atmospheric and in a way a fine tribute to your father and your son. It's sometimes weird to think as we get (slightly 🙂) older how we become the link between an older and younger generation. I find that as my daughters have grown into wonderful women how much more I appreciate how my own parents guided me so that I could try and do the best for my own children as they grew up. Hope I'm not prying, is your son following in Dad's footsteps as a musician? 👍
@@jon_gee They both played when they were younger (one guitar, the younger saxophone) but haven't followed it as they got older. Shame, as I'm sure it would be good for them but no point pushing. They have busy lives. Maybe they will come back to it later. 🤞
Great jam! Would love to hear your thought on the Elmyra vs the Lyra 8, which I remember you using more some years back :) the controllable pitch on the Elmyra seems very tempting to me
Ohhh want to chat on the phone sometime I could talk forever about this stuff. 😂😄 Lyra…I’ll leave you with my personal opinion and perhaps a hot take or two. I don’t really like the sound of the Lyra. The higher notes sound like a train whistle especially when tuned. I don’t like that sound and I couldn’t get that out of my head every time I heard it. There’s no filter so you cant sculpt the sound as much as I’d like. You can’t clock the LFO and it’s not meant for control voltage. It’s much more of an experimental instrument. When you want to get crazy, it shines. The delay is quite a strange one and never got used to it… Which kind of ties me over to Elmyra… which also has a delay that I don’t use that much. Elmyra has 4 voices. Many modes like chord mode, waveshaper, filters galore make it more of a sound design tool. You can clock the LFO, it has a really cool sequencer that advances with Clock pulses. I make much more melodic music so the v/OCT on each channel is great. The distortion circuit comes with four different styles of distortion and noise. When it comes down to it, it’s all about personal preference and sound… I like the sound more from Elmyra.
@@jon_gee thank you for that thorough answer and indeed unexpected answer. I get what you mean though, the higher notes often leave you wanting for a filter or at least make me want to tame that waveform. I love it in the bassy and mid-heavy registers, but the permanent tuning and very high unpredictability make me consider selling it, we'll see. Btw I guess people would love to hear your opinion in (your) gear, but I get that your channels puts the emphasis on the music and that's what we love it for, after all :) I do wonder if you're getting that Moog Muse though, I remember you being quite excited about it. Have a great weekend!
@@atlas9097 Hopefully I’ll get a Muse in January. I am excited about that synth. A friend has been working on it for years. I’ll happily offer my gear opinions. Just have to get the motivation and time together to rock something like that.

Love it man thank you. Music runs deep in our family. My son is a vocalist. I hope to collaborate with him soon. 😊😃
