I have to say, the video is put together very well. Short but detailed enough to help us understand only what we need to understand. Thank you very much for the video!
I owned oled and led don't matter how long I watched or played games on oled never hurt my eyes not only that it's studding beautiful colors. If you can afford if find a deal and go for oled you won't regret it
I'm finally ready to upgrade from an old 1080p SD to 4K UHD. We can barely see anything in dark scenes during shows like The Book of Boba Fett. Right now I'm focusing on the 55" LG LED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV, but I'm also thinking about LG 55" Smart OLED 4K UHD TV with HDR. The living room has lots of windows with plenty of light all day (the blinds and curtains help), and at night its sorta dark in the room. The seating is a large L shape sectional that does not go out too far off center. What's the deal with LG's NanoCell Display? Is it worth the jump in price?
Nanocell technology does help with color accuracy when sitting off axis. Based on your description of the seating area that, it sounds like you don't need this technology. As long as that is the only difference in the TV's you are considering, you can get the one without it since your TV viewing will be more direct viewing and not off-axis viewing
With most modern OLED TVs you can avoid any burn in issues by playing different types of content. Avoiding playing static images or pause menus for long periods of time is a great move!
What I’ve noticed since I have both, is I played my Xbox on the OLED then after a year or so I decided to hook the Xbox up to the LED tv in my bedroom and it was jarring… I think if you’ve never owned an OLED it’s not noticeable per say, but once you make the jump it makes it difficult to go back….
OLED's are nice....but they cost 5x as much as LED's. You can get 65" LED's for like $300 but a 65" OLED will cost you $1500. I'm just going to get an LED now and pick up and OLED in a few years when prices are much lower.
They don’t cost 5x as much for good TVs. If you only have 300 to spend you don’t even need to watch this video. Good mid level OLEDs are quite close in price now to quality LED sets.
Just got a 55" LG C3 on amazon prime day for £935. Moving over from an LED TV with massive and horrible dimming zones and that cost me over £700 back in 2018
This comparison is between LED and OLED TV panels. QLED is based on LED TV technology with a difference to OLED being that instead of pixels that emit their own light there’s a backlight filled with LEDs. Thes LEDs are clustered into small independently controllable zones, which produce the light for your TV. OLED still tends to be the most popular choice for color richness and the ability for the TV to produce the darkest black possible!
We believe you mean Full HD which refers to 1080P resolutions. We have not seen an OLED TV with only 1080P resolution in years and it is likely to no longer be working as well as it did when it was released making it not a good buy. That being said, if someone is still make OLED models with only 1080P resolution, it may still be a good idea to use the comparison points in this video as peoples experience of the panel differences is often more noticeable than the resolution differences
@@crutchfield Thank you for replying. You're right. The TV I'm considering to buy is 2018 model LG FHD OLED 55EG9A7V. The other 55' option I'm considering is XIAOMI A2, which is UHD but with LED panel. Both cost almost the same. So according to your suggestion, I guess the LG is still a better buy.
If you can, try and see them in person to ensure your getting the picture you like best. From there, you'll want to be sure that each model has the inputs/compatibility with your other components.
I don’t see any much difference when looking at screen from certain distance. I guess you might find oled more clear when you are closer. Other thing is brightness
bought a oled 65c3 at BestBuy and right out of the box, it had horizontal black lines stretching from the right side to the middle of the screen. Watching this video to see if I should go exchange it for an LCD haha
The clearest explanation of the differences between OLED and LCD TVs I've seen. Excellent video.
Thanks, Mark! Are you leaning toward any specific option?
Finally, a decent explanation and to the point. You didn't make us sit through 35 minutes of "the history of TV".
I have to say, the video is put together very well. Short but detailed enough to help us understand only what we need to understand. Thank you very much for the video!
You're certainly welcome! It's great to hear that you found it helpful! 🙂

This is the best explanation on this subject I’ve seen so far, thank you!

Sony Master Series = no issues

Most helpful tutorial. Thank you so much!

How do I prevent burn-in issue from oled TV

Good video, and very well explained
Thanks! It's great to hear that you found it informative. 🙂
on the example of moon, i actually liked the led better :)

I can relate! If you want the absolute best performance usually OLED is the move. 👏
thank you for the amazing guide pretty much answered all my questions!
You're welcome!
Why should an organic material last as long as LED? Under same circumstances the LED lasts way more hours...
Excellent explanation ❤ thank you

🔥🔥🔥👍
nothing compares to a OLED tv if you can afford, my LG says hi

LEDs are better, OLED are too fragile, my 55B2 had a problem under 300 hours of use, bad panel, single row of vertical pixels too pale

OLED looks fake tbh.
