I can't tell how incredibly helpful this was!!! I do many protocols and lit reviews for my rec therapy degree and can't use pronouns in the papers! You are a lifesaver!
Thank you, Instructor Sean, and Scribbs, for your announcements of essays. I always watch, and follow these instructions on the videos, to have your tips, for the forums, Apa style, in text citations, and advice, for the week, when I need to complete my assignments, of essays. I appreciate the work you do with us. As a student at GCU (Grand Canyon University), of bachelor’s in science of healthcare administration, I always need your help to get my good grade A, each week, but with your feedback I finish the steps for my assignments. Academic writing. It is a challenging task and I acknowledge my challenging work the past week to complete courses online. Working on it, I can develop my skills. will use this information to be successful in future courses. It is important to do well with the explanation, when I watch these videos and announcements, it helps me to prepare my online class, and to pursue my career.
You explained this so well and helped simplify and made it easy to comprehend and remember all the information. Maybe it's also because you didn't speed through the info and kept a steady speed while including examples
THANK YOU SO MUCH. Wilmington University (Delaware) had us to buy an entire book instead of sending us to this page to learn APA 7th Edition. Thank you
Why doesn't each and every source online already have an in-text citation and reference page for copying and pasting information? Why do we have to continually and manually type each part of a reference and in-text citation? Already typing an essay is stressful enough. Add the manual in-text citations and reference work stress level is beyond my capabilities. Those who create sources must provide these citations and refferences for us to copy and paste based on the citation styles one uses.
Thank you and well done. This helps my students. One tiny piece of feedback - perhaps practice slowing down just a bit and enunciating to help non-native English speakers. Thank you!
Yeah, my University used a different UA-cam video to explain APA and there wasn’t one mention of Scribbr. Then I had to take a timed test on APA, that had I known of Scribbr, would have helped a lot at deciphering which citation was correct when only given a minute to evaluate each citation and compare it to multiple others…
I have watched your videos for improvement of my writing papers since December, 2023. Now, the writing were graded B+ by my lecturer. Thank for your videos, the nice contents for easy to digest.
To all my GVA and Edgenuity people out there Directions: After Viewing this video on APA Citations, write THREE (3) ways you could use APA citations to avoid plagiarism based on the video. 1. If your citing a specific part of a source try your best to use a locator. 2. You only need to use a page number when using a direct quote 3. When your source has multiple authors a maximum of 2 authors are included in the in text citiation. If there are more use "et all" meaning 'and others'
I have a question and I hope you will answer it🥺. For text citation of a UA-cam video, do we need to put the channel that uploaded the video or the person who's giving the talk in the video.
I haven't been able to find this answer anywhere, so hopefully you can answer it for me. How do you cite an in-text narrative quote? For example, I want to say something like.....According to Smith (2021), "quote from Smith here" (Smith, 2021, p.4). Is that the proper format? Do I need to put the year at the beginning and then again at the end?
thanks, please i have some questions according to this lesson! what means valume and issue? and what should I do in the case of having two authors with the same name or having the same date of publication in reference liste (APA style 7th edition)? my last question is in the day of the exam how I will write in italics the reference entry (i need this info cuz I am too confused, I have a research exam tomorrow pleaase!)
Hi! Quick question: When you used multiple authors (so 2) you quoted Harris in front of Cook. What defines the order? I always thought it would be alphabetical, am I wrong? Thanks!
Thank you so much you just earned a subscriber! Do you have advice for online website such as government websites? Any information for citing reference page ?
I am a law student (pre-law). How do I reference a newspaper article reporting on a court case before it is indexed? Both in text and in the Ref. List. (asking from South Africa). Many tanks.
Hey could I ask you a question please 🙏 My question is : she said that you need only to include the page number when using a direct quote. Does that apply only with page number or with all other locators including timestamps, chapters, headings, paragraphs?.
Good luck to anyone here that is writing a paper right now
Yep right now actually! 🙏🏻😩
Good luck to us.
Thank you😅
have to submit a 20000 word dissertation in 20 days, gotta lock in rn💀
thanks man
The presentation my professor wanted me to watch was over an hour and a half, yet four minutes was enough to understand. That’s just bananas
Full understanding in under 4 minutes YOURE A GODDESS. I’m in Applied Behavior Analysis masters program and this was so helpful.
I've always struggled with citations and in-text citations, especially when the article references another source. Thank you for this helpful video!
Glad it was helpful!
You explained it better than my online class teacher. THANK YOU

Lol my teacher told me to watch this instead of teaching it herself
😂 Thats kinda sad but i guess this wasn’t a english teacher, right?!

Parenthetical and narrative citation 1:24: Multiple authors 2:00
Thank you Jessica, this was informative and useful. Do i need to add footnotes again after in text citation?
You're welcome! No, you do not need to include footnotes for an APA style in-text citation 😊
It's that time of year again 😔
Wow.. this helps a lot.. where did you get the book?
interesting and proffesional
Pro Westbrook this is Tiffany Bryant I watched the video.
Hey. I have a query. Do we manually add the citations? Or do we use an in-built software withing word for this? APA 7th edition for instance.
God bless your soul

Great video, anyways!
Can you share how to do Harvard in text citation? Or how to cite primary sources in text?
Can I use both parenthetical and narrative citation? Nice work by the way!
yes but not in the same sentence ok:?

Hi I have a doubt , do you keep a space between the last word and the barckert before putting the brackets when citing at the end of a sentence ?
