Funny that this reminds me of going to a garage sale and seeing these unusual bird houses this couple made. They were selling them for $20 originally and none were selling. Then they bumped it up to around $200/house and now they can't keep up with the sales. Interesting mindset but it's true Daniel.
Thanks for this. I have a question and sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. Do you register your music with a PRO for sync royalties or is that not something you focus on at all?
Thanks for posting this Daniel! I have found this to be true with my own sales as well. I think collectively as a community we need to try and combat this undercut everyone else mentality that seems to be so present at the moment. Effectively this just causes a 'race to the bottom' for everyone and us as composers are the ones who suffer! I worked in the film and media sector for years before becoming a composer myself and in my personal experience as both a composer and a customer, $50 is a fair price for everyone. Excellent post my friend. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for this video, think I have been under pricing myself on Pond 5, some people charging a lot more than my full evolving tracks for basically a sample pack drum loop with an occasional sound fx on top!
I checked your profile at Pond5 and all your songs are set to $18 USD not $49.95. Why is that? I don't think audiojungle likes when someone lower their prices in other stock music libraries for the same song outside audiojungle Am I right?
Thanks for this wisdom. First I wanted to start very cheap. After your video I compared my songs to others and to be honest my content was too good for that low end in relation to other songs. So I will try now as a new publisher to start with a higher price. Hope it will work.
Just wanted to say what a massive help your channel has been bud. There's been so many little pitfalls that I've avoided along my first few weeks setting up my accounts and adding my content thanks to you. Thanks so much and keep up the fantastic working supporting other musicians.
Thank you Daniel for this helpful video. I have questions. What do you think about demping on Audiojungle? How did it affect you? And, maybe you have some recommends about it. ))
Thanks so much for this video! This is so good! Does it make sense to price the same track differently, for example to price it cheaper (like half the price) in Audiojungle? So it would be 40 dollars in Pond5 and 20 y Audiojungle, or is this something we should never do/makes no sense? Thank you!
I try to price my music the same across all libraries. Keep in mind that some libraries don't allow you to price your music so you could have one price higher on one and a cheap price on the other .
I think authenticity is a good parameter for pricing. Mostly when someone likes a sound or melody specifically they tend to pay more. But if the song is like a better version of a concept (standart rock tunes for example) people may start to search for an ok version. After all, it was a grest video. Thanks.
Greetings Daniel, long-time Audiojungle author here that's trying to figure out how to adjust based on Envato obviously and blatantly trying to push their customers toward Envato Elements + the author-driven pricing madness of tracks being sold at $5. I love seeing that you're setting yourself apart by having higher prices on your tracks. I'm currently weighing doing the same. My question is -- how has your income been since raising your prices? I understand that you probably get fewer sales... but they're at much better prices. Lastly, I'm also considering going non-exclusive and taking my music to Pond5, etc. How has your Pond5 revenue compared with your AJ revenue since joining? Are you doing better overall by being in more than 1 market? Appreciate your videos, man. Keep it up!
A question I have is whether a buyer of a track is buying a one-shot use, or can use a track multiple times in a production by extending the piece by editing.
Hallo Daniel. Thanks for your videos. I just tried to submit my first music to AudioJungle, and i got email "This item does not meet the general commercial quality standard required to be accepted on AudioJungle, unfortunately." What does it means "general commercial quality", Is that about the composition of the music or the sound quality? Sorry if my English not good enough.
It's hard to say, but what you are getting is an email template or out responder concerning your submission. Audiojungle will reject your music because of the composition, arrangement and/or production.
@@StockMusicLicensing How many days does Audiojungle & Pond5 takes generally to review a track? I have submitted mine 5 days ago, still in reviewing. No mail yet.

Thanks Daniel! This really help me to prepare to set the standards!
Thanks Ramon!!
Appreciate this!
Thanks Ben for your comment 🙏
so much value, thanks
Thank you my friend
I think what you are mostly speaking about is having pride in your work, and self respect. I admire that, and I think others do as well.
I agree 100%
I am a guitar player. Plz explain how to do processe
Thank you Daniel, awesome video and really helpful.
My pleasure Eduardo!!

Thank you so much Daniel! I was wondering, can you use a track that has vocals recorded on top? I mean proper lyrics. Thank you!
Can I do guitar session

Thanks for this Daniel! Iv just headed over to AJ to slightly raise my prices (They were probably a little cheap) & i'l wait and see how it goes.
Let me know how it goes for you!!
@@StockMusicLicensing Well i seem to still be making sales so thats a good sign :D Thanks again Daniel!

My income has diversified since I became non-exclusive. Price has nothing to do with selling more or less.
A question I have is whether a buyer of a track is buying a one-shot use, or can use a track multiple times in a production by extending the piece by editing.
The buyer can use the track multiple times.
Thanks for the info.

@@rohana403 They publish the current review time at this link quality.market.envato.com/audiojungle Hope this helps!
I saw today that some of your AJ tracks are now 199$. Is it an experiment? I hope you'll make a video about it and how it works for you then.
I will do

I have no idea what im doing here, found you on instagram wondering if you have a service that will be beneficial for us both
Se que este video es antiguo pero tus precios en Pond5 son de 6€ por cancion. ¿Entiendo que esa estrategia ya no es valida?
Si, los precios han cambiado.
Ridiculous they Take Mode than 50% ???
Almost all your track is actually about 2 dollar, right now. Why?
I am testing different pricing. Go and check this video about it: ua-cam.com/video/_H3emsHqEBQ/v-deo.html
