  • The Bb (B flat) piano accompaniment part for the piece Allegro, First movement from Concerto in E, 'La Primavera', Op. 8 No. 1, RV 269, by Antonio Vivaldi, arranged by David Blackwell from the ABRSM Saxophone Grade 3 book at rehearsal speed. It includes the music for the Bb (B flat) Soprano/Tenor Saxophone to play along to and pointing to help students get used to playing with the piano part. It is slower than the official recording. This is because we have found the official recording to be too fast for students when learning the pieces. It is a stepping stone to playing at full speed. why is this accompaniment in C major when the music is in D?

Because it is for a Bb instrument, originally Saxophone/Tenor sax, but theoretically can be played on any Bb instrument in range.
