This is based on a true story that happend to a toddler that survived a cable car accident who parents held him above their heads so their bodies would take the impact of the fall in the hope the baby would survive. He did, and the composer of the song Han Hong dedicated this to their loving sacrifice and wrote it from the child's perspective and also adopted the child. Dimash heard this song as a young boy and he said it made him tremble. He always sings it with reverence and deep emotion its hard not to be affected. Han Hong also lost a parent at a very young age. She sings it very beautifully too.
HANHONG has adopted over 280 children. Whenever a disaster strikes the country, she is not only one of the biggest donors of money, but she goes into the disaster area as a volunteer herself to help the victims. She lived a modest life and most of the money she earned was used for donations or to support her children.

The theme of this song is the sad and true story of a child who was saved from death by his sacrificial parents: In the city of Xingyi (Guizhou Province) the 2-year-old child, Quon Yan, his father, Quon Dalei and his mother, Li Chun went on a cable car ride when an accident occurred that killed more than fifty people. To save the child, the parents left him suspended by the strength of their arms and lost their lives for it. Quon Yan was adopted by Han Hong who composed this sad and beautiful song. Dimash performed this song on “The Singer” but had a sore throat and sang on the basis of medication. In his first show he sang in full health and gave this sublime performance.

What a treat to see one of my favourite reactors reviewing one of my favourite performances from Dimash. It's a performance I've watched hundreds of times over the years, and it still brings me to tears every time. There aren't enough words to describe the shocking perfection of Dimash''s interpretation of this song. He's the only singer who could literally bring this story to life. You used the word spiritual to describe Dimash's voice, and I agree.

Dimash's voice was healthy for his first solo concert in Kazakhstan. His performances in the Bastau 2017 concert was breathtaking. This is IMO, the best version of Daybreak. Also The Diva Dance, Akkuym, Daididau.

This was his cover of a famous Chinese song, so the lyrics don’t refer to him or his life, as both his mom and dad are alive, but he did indeed perform this song in a very touching and emotional way and expressed those sentiments beautifully.

It’s a special power of Dimash to really, really touch our souls ❤️ It’s not only skills, I am convinced hè feels what hè sings. Part of that, is that hè never just sing a song but hè carefully choose them. About this one? He told that the first time hè heard the original (which is in Chinese) as a child, hè was trembling over his whole body. For me a prove, hè FEELS music.

I always feel the same as you when I listen to Dimash sing this song. It always brings me to tears. I was hoping that he would of sang this song at his NYC concert when I attended. It’s so sad but yet so beautifully sung by Dimash. I agree, Dimash does have a way to position himself living out the lyrics when he sings. Lovely and emotional reaction!

One of the absolute best Dimash performances! Heartbreaking story of a very young child losing his parents. It's worth watching the I am Singer 2017 version, where he was sick so he couldn't be as intense, but its still a tearjerker! Also this Bastau concert was sponsored by the Kazakh government to welcome Dimash home after his trip to China.. Its worth watching the whole concert to get an idea of how much he is loved, how amazing his concerts are, very mixed in genres, he sings for up to 3 hours! And he leaves EVERYTHING on that stage! Go back and watch the Singer version on Gloria Wu’s channel with not only the back story about the cable car crash, but his Dimash was only 10 when he heard it and was so moved he decided then he would sing it one day. What 10 year old even takes notice of those things. None in my world, they are to self absorbed. It also shows how sick he was for that performance. Even though he sings it better here I love the other one too because how important it was for him to sing it that night. He even rang Han Hong before he went in stage

I think you would really enjoy I would love to see you react to War and Peace, the Arnau concert version. This is a song Dimash co-wrote. It is one of the most Rock songs that he has done so far. Be sure to put closed captions on because the lyrics are pretty deep.

Me encanta que te emocione, ya que mucha gente dice que tiene mucha técnica vocal y solo hace alarde de eso y que no emociona , que no transmite nada. Yo creo que no, esa es mi opinión. Bueno, también creo, que no a todo el mundo le gusta el tipo de música que hace, porque hay mucha variedad, precisamente para toda la gente.
