Looking back in my food and wine app on my phone, I found the One good offering from Italy. Balsamic glazed and oven roasted pork ribs. They were $8.00, very very good and you had to get them early or you had to wait until more came out of the oven. The lines for these would be about 20 minutes long.
Sorry to hear about your aulani guide. We do have an aulani guide who does the reach out and regularly and who has called us. We swapped to this guide because he was so thorough and wonderful going over everything with us. We were in person though when we met him, and we were definitely buying direct on that day. Anyhow, I agree all guide’s should be trying, following up, etc.
I love trying things that people think suck. You can call me a glutton for punishment [which is probably true] but I like to think I'm just adventurous. 😆 More often than not, it's not as bad as people make it out to be. These Nachos were a GREAT example of that.
Ehh for 9.25 i skip the italy booth. Its always meh. I wouldnt call it nachos. Needs more. Olives, roasted peppers. Go get the beef short rib with polenta at earth eats.
If we have an extra snack credit we'll try them, but otherwise there a lot of other things we want to try first. Love your content, if I weren't old, I'd think about DVC lol
That's good to hear! Honestly, even though I raised the question to you guys, the fact that a guide is in Hawaii really shouldn't matter that much. . . . unless that guide isn't sure that they can do what they need to for guests who are stateside. I think I was just unlucky in who was assigned to me.
Thanks for trying the "nachos" If we had more time when we are down there and they weren't almost $10 we would probably try them. We only have so much time and stomach space though and there are so many other things we want to try when we are there. 😋
Oh yeah! I totally get it. Honestly, I was looking for an excuse to try these anyway and one of you asking was the perfect excuse. If I had limited time or stomach space. . . . no way this would have made the cut.
Doesn't seem worth it for those...don't look horrible just not anything special! Have you had the Tostada de Camarones from Mexico yet (plus margaritas...duh)? That's my first stop when I get there in November!
It isn't worth it. Good, not great, not worth almost $10. We have in the past I believe, but not during this festival. . . so it doesn't count as far as I'm concerned. It's on the list though!
It was pretty good! I mean, it could definitely be improved upon if I were to make it at home, but I can't complain about much more than the price. . . which I already knew was going to be high considering items at this booth always are. Definitely not as bad as some people are making it out to be though!
They are bird houses for purple martins. They are all over the area to include here at EPCOT and over at Caribbean Beach. They may be elsewhere as well, but these are the places I've seen them.
As someone of Italian ancestry I am required to skip that booth. My nonna would Not approve of that food. 😂
4:10 I would definitely buy a 2FM T-shirt with this slogan! 😂

Not doing the nachos. Not enough food for rye money.
Can't argue with that!

Just curious what does your DVC guide do for you? Just wondering because I'm a DVC member and I never talked to a guide since
We did try them just to see about all the negativity. Like you said they weren't bad just wouldn't go out of my way to get them again!

Nope on the nachos. My guide is in Hawaii. He reaches out ALL of the time.

The Italian nachos looked good. The meat sauce looked especially tasty.

Probably not enough work for Hawaii, so they spread it out.
You're probably right.
0:34 What are these fixtures? I wasn’t sure if these were groups of bird feeders or a bank of security cameras.
