65 isn't old these days. my grandmother passed away at 89 - but she used the internet and social media until she was 85. she was born in the 1930's. math is a language. i struggled with math -- until i figured out how i learned it. i personally a visual and conceptual math learner that needs to understand the mathematical logic and concepts behind what i'm doing in order to successfully solve problems. this problem is all about the distributive property and the properties of equality. these things show up all the time in math.
