Hi, Lori. Thank you for mentioning Challenger. I didn’t have that one on my radar but it’s definitely one I will want to buy. The Challenger explosion was one of the defining moments of my life. I was in HS and we watched it live on TV because Christa McAuliffe was on that mission.
Debbie - I absolutely understand. It defined ours as well and was so heartbreaking and trauma inducing. I have to admit I still hold my breath for every launch as a result of that day.
Hi Lori, I remember the Challenger disaster, too. I was getting ready for work but was following the launch because it was so historic. I was horrified to witness the vessel disintegrate before my eyes. So tragic. I loved Brooklyn so will definitely read Long Island. Brooklyn the movie is good, too.
45 hours, well you can’t deny it is value for money! Looks like you have a treat coming later this year with Then Things Went Dark by Bea Fitzgerald. I read Brooklyn some time ago so looking forward to the sequel.
Time travel and time slips are some buzzwords for me, so I’m interested very much in the ministry of time. I do remember Challenger and where I was that day and the shock and sorrow that followed. This book will be a hard to read but important book I’m sure. Stuart Turton is on my want to read something from this author list😊. I’ve been meaning to read Evelyn Hardcastle for ages but maybe I’ll start with his latest. I’m looking forward to John Grisham’s Camino Ghosts that’s coming out on 5/28 and I’ll definitely be reading it sometime this summer.
I just recently read Brooklyn (in March) and LOVED it! Obviously, I haven't read Long Island (yet), but judging by what kind of book Brooklyn was, I do think you probably want to read it first.
Long Island is on my TBR too because I LOVE Brooklyn.
So glad! I can’t wait then!!

Yes it was so devastating. Glad to hear you loved Brooklyn. I’ve always thought I would as well.
Ministry of Time caught my eye too. It’s so fun to see all the books others are excited about coming out!😊
It sounds so fun and interesting! And yes, I watch a lot of content creators and it makes my TBR pile rise! 😂
@@BooksInkandPaper it totally does! My pile is HUGE!😅 I did just post my most anticipated reads if you’d like to check it out.

Ooh I will check it out. Thanks 😊
Oooo, I want to read Challenger. What a story.
Yes I can’t imagine what we will discover and remember.

Ooh yes I did see he had another one coming out. I stopped awhile ago with his but that’s not to say I won’t return to catch up.
The Guncle Abroad by Steven Rowley is at the top of my May list.
Should I read the first one before the sequel?
@@BooksInkandPaper I haven’t read #2 but from what I’ve heard I’d say yes

Thanks. I think that is my preferred way to go too. I'm glad you loved it!
Toe Bean. Hope that helps
Ha! YES!!! Thank you!!
The Challenger...I watched it launch & explode live. Horrifying. Tragic.
Yes indeed. 😔
